just reserved a rental through autoslash which directed me to priceline. rental is from hertz. first how dependable is autoslash/priceline. anyone have problems. in addition it says i pay at the counter. will there be an option to pay beforehand and skip the counter. i do belong to hertz program. TIA

Did you enter your Hertz number where indicated in the priceline form? If you did that your name should be up on the board and you can go straight to your car. When they say pay at the counter it doesn't actually mean that for Hertz if your number is attached. Hertz will charge the card on file at the conclusion of the rental.
Autoslash is more dependable than any other third party and actually more dependable than most of the rental companies themselves. If anything goes wrong call them and they will get it fixed. They've actually paid out of their own pocket to customers that have been screwed by the rental companies. I only use Autoslash and have for all of my rentals for the last few years.

Is the price significantly lower then you can get directly from the Hertz website? That is the only reason to book a rental through some 3rd party. Too many things can go wrong having extra players involved in your rental agreement.

You will see a priceline confirmation number & a hertz reservation number on your email confirmation

sign into you hertz account & add the reservation number. Make sure your CC info/expiry date will be valid for the length of reservation

walk out to garage when you arrive, if you don’t see your name on the board; stop there and they can help
