Autoslash=Great Rate

I went on Autoslash.com to try and get a good rental car rates for our trip in August, since the prices were very high. I got 8/9 to 8/16, picking up at Orlando airport and dropping off at the Dolphin, full size, Alamo for $207. They also had minivans and SUV's for mid-250's. Check out the site. I did prepay but you can cancel up to 48 hours and get a full refund. If you cancel within the 48 hours, it's around $40.

Thats a great rate! Normally prices are much higher when you do not return to MCO.
I've tried autoslash for several of my trips around the country and have never found them cheaper than Costco or Hotwire. Just my luck!!

Good to know, I stopped using autoslash because it was always significantly higher than what I could find myself.

I always use autoslash to track my rates. I just got a convertible for 15 days for $480 which is WAY cheaper than anywhere else. Rental is through Alamo.

Just checked it out and it would save about $100 for a week's rental with National out of SFO in October.

I always check them first. Unless i can book a favored vendor (alamo, National) in the same price point, will book as a placeholder.

Unfortunately, the wait lines in the terminal have taken nearly an hour at times.

Doesn’t hurt to set up a monitor for existing reservations either.

Wouldn't you just bypass the counter provided you booked with a company through autoslash that offers that service? (Ie. I booked Alamo through Autoslash)

I’ve never gotten alamo thru autoslash (priceline), hertz appears often. Recall seeing thrifty and dollar

You can view your confirmation # on whatever vendor’s website if you book the deal.

Typically, when you book thru a 3rd party, you don’t get credit towards your reward status with the vendor nor do you get to skip the counter.

Do people skip the counter & proceed directly to go? Probably, but it’s indicated on the confirmation where you are expected to present yourself.

As in all things, YMMV. Could always try to email Alamo and ask them to link your insider’s information to see what happens. Hertz declined to do so for me a few months ago.
