Keep in mind that they don't really honor the autopia fast pass. Ie. if the regular line is less then 30 minutes and you have a fast pass you have to stay in the regular line. Really irritated me when I was there. Not sure why they have the fast pass.

Actually, it was disconnected a month ago when we were visiting during spring break. We grabbed space mtn fps and immediately grabbed autopia fps. Good luck
I was trying to remember the last time I got Autopia FPs and couldn't remember. I wouldn't even waste the time walking over to get one unless it was insanely busy and the wait was over 45 minutes or so. As others have said, the FP is useless unless they implement the standby queue. And they usually don't do that unless it is very, very busy.
In the summer it can be a miserable line to wait in the afternoon, so I would ride it in the morning or at night, both times should mean a FP is not necessary.
If you do see a very long line, pull a FP, I have never seen them run out and they would have a quick turnaround time.
