Automatically cancel ADRs??

We canceled our room only reservation and rebooked a package. The CM said that our ADRs would not automatically cancel when we switched reservations. However, on another thread on the resorts board, someone indicated theirs were canceled because they changed room reservations.

Has anyone else canceled and rebooked their room but still used their original ADRs? I will call and confirm my ADRs but wondered if anyone else had a similar experience.

AFAIK, the only time reservations are cancelled is when there are two reservations in the system for the same party for the same meal.

Oh boy I was worried the other day about this...Bc I work in the travel industry I had a special rate package booked for POLY and linked most of my ADR's to that reservation. However I ended up leaving my company bc I was relocating out of the area. So I canceled that reservation and mad a regular package at POP. I called to confirm my ADR's after I did this bc I read the same thing. The CM assured me that they would not cancel it bc of the package being cancelled. She confirmed they were all still there. She said they are not linked to your hotel reservation/package at all. It is just if the ADR's are double booked as the other poster mentioned. I asked her if she saw anything double booked as well bc I was paranoid. We had swapped a few ADR's bc we changed around some plans. But we canceled any ADR's we need to within the same call. If there had been any that were supposed to be canceled and weren't then we could have had some unintentional double ADR's. But all ended up fine. ADR's still intact and I ended up returning to my company bc the relocation did not work out so I am now staying at the POLY....but now a third ressie number and had to cancel POP. I am not making anymore changes!!!

When I made my dining reservations, I was told that if I change my room reservation it would cancel my dining reservations automatically.

I can confirm they are not linked, the changes I have made over the years would have meant I would have lost loads, but I never have.

Exactly. I have changed our room and resort reservation no fewer than 5 times in the last 3 months (indecision, anyone ) and all my ADR's have stayed the same. I know because I've called to make changes to those several times, and each time have them tell me exactly what I have booked. They're all linked under my phone number, not my room ressie number. For all they know, you could live locally and not even be staying there on vacation.
