do they have a time and place to get autographs or can you get them from anyone that walks by?
As you can tell I've never been to disney before lol. Also is it worth buying a book in uk or can you get nice ones at dlp that doesn't cost the earth?

Hi
There are some organised meet and greets that happen at a fixed time with ordered queues and you can go there to get photos/autographs. There are often also characters out and about around the park and you can get autographs from them too. Be warned though that many people won't wait their turn and it can be a bit of a scrum around the characters.

when you get your park programme, the times and locations of all the queued character meet n greet are on there :). Characters do roam the parks, and of course you can get autographs and photos then - but its not described as a scrum for nothing ;)! Having said that, I think the only queued meet n greets we've ever done was for the Princesses and for Winnie the Pooh - all other autographs my DD has got have been chance character spots across the parks, at the Cars n Stars parade, and at character meals.

You can get nice autograph books at DLP for around 5 or 6 euros. Remember a chunky pen too :).

Hi,
Just another note not all characters can sign their name due to the movement restrictions in their hands ie sulley and i think Mr incredible couldn't (due to the big black rubber gloves he had on) when we left the organised meet with sulley dd was given a sticker which had sulley's signature on it so she stuck that in her book (not sure how long they have done this, i don't remember them doing it before)

It's also worth noting that you can have character meals.

Cafe Mickey is the most popular. During a normal meal you'll get to meet around 6 characters. On my last visit I think I saw 8 (Mickey, Stitch, Chip, Dale, Smee, Hook, Eeyore & Pluto).

It's the best way to meet characters as they work their way around each table in the restaurant. They'll sign autographs and pose for photos. It's much better than the scrums you get in the park or having to queue.
