Autograph/photo book questions

My friend is going to Disney next month and was asking me where to get an autograph book prior to arrival. Besides ebay where would you go for the best price?
I was also looking and found some Disney photo books that looked kind of neat but I can't really tell much from the pictures. Are there pages to write and does it limit to certain characters? Really appreciate the help.

We always order a gift basket for my son and his cousin prior to arriving from the Disney Florist. They include an autograph book.

I would suggest going to a local WalMart or Big Kmart when you get in Orlando. We noticed they carried similar tshirts at those stores, too, and they were DIRT cheap. Your friend might also pick one up at Downtown Disney before heading into the parks. They seemed to be pretty inexpensive if I remember correctly.

How much are they usually?

The baskets can be pretty spendy, depending on what you want. But I usually have them delivered to our rooms so they're sitting in the room when we arrive. A nice surprise for the kids. Here is the link to the Disney Florist:

You might also see if you can get an autograph book from the disneystore.com. Perhaps they sell them????

when i was younger if i remember correctly my mom bought me and my little sister a autograph book while we were at downtown disney.

They sell them at the resorts if she is staying on site. Also, there are little gift shops/stands right outside the entrances to all the parks, she could buy one while waiting to get in. It would save the shipping costs.

Also at the airport there is a Disney gift shop.

I got my son a personalized one on ebay and he can wear it around his neck with like a lanyard. We put all his pins on it too! Serves two purposes. I do image that I am going to be the one carrying it after a while though. Those pins can get heavy and especially on a child.

I wish that Disney did not discontinue making The Disney Dream Books.
For me, They were JUST THE ONE I NEED. In My Opinion, The Disney Dream Book was The BEST THING They have ever invented since The Fastpass.

The autograph book is home made but pretty nice. I was more interested in the Incredibles for my son. It is very hard to find them now that they are not as popular any longer.
Here is a link to the auction that I won. She put his name on the strap and I have filled it with his pins. Mostly he collects movie pins. Scroll down the auction to see the Incredibles carrying bag with book. She put Dash on the front of his since that is his favorite character.

If your friend is a scrapbooker, Creative Memories has a 7 x 7 with a Mickey head on the cover. We use that, have the character sign on one page and then later I put the picture of my son with that character next to it. Very nice way to do it.

He loves the Incredibles. They were featured in the Disney on Ice performance that came to Pittsburgh this March and we took him. He loved it! He got the personalized autograph book in his Easter basket and has been decorating it with his pins. I know he will have a blast getting his autographs! Last year I got him a Wall-E one from the same seller.

DD(10), DD(7), and I just made ours for our upcoming trip in August. We bought the spiral bound 3 x 5 index cards and made a front cover and personalized it. For a cool touch we tied ribbon on the spirals. On each of the pages we put small stickers for the different characters. We only put stickers on the characters we were sure we would get an autograph (Mickey, Minnie, Pluto, Donald, Goofy, Chip and Dale, Princesses, and Fairies)

Do you have pictures of Your Autograph Books? I would like to see them for Myself.
I am turning My 3 - Ring CD/DVD Binder Case into A Disney Autograph and Memory Book. It will be sort of Like what The Disney Dream Book is, ONLY It will be " What will you celebrate? / Celebrate Today Where Dreams Come True " Themed when I get done with it.
Since Disney was Chicken Enough to Discontinue Their Disney Dream Books, I`d Figure I am Better off Making My OWN !!!
