Autograph Ideas

I am so glad I found this site!!
All of your pages look wonderful. This will be my families first trip to Disney for a land & sea vaca. I'd like to make a autograph book for my daughter (5) & son (8). All tips & ideas are appreciated. Is it best to bring color cordinating pieces of cardstock that you'd like them to sign - for instance bring a gold or red piece for pooh, a lime green piece for Buzz? What size do you recommend? Is it best to just bring the pieces of cardstock or to assemble the book before hand. Also how about tags instead of card stock? I wonder if they have colored tags....hmmm So my questons & ideas running thru my head. I looked on e-bay to see if anyone was selling creative autograph books, but no luck, they just have the standard ones.

It depends what you want to do with your autographs.

I made an autograph book for a friend's daughter out of a small sketch book I got at ACMoore. I decorated the outside and inside of the front and back covers and added ribbons to the wire coil. The idea was to take the pages she had signed out of her autograph book and adhere them to tags, mats, etc. and put them in her scrapbook. She liked the book so much that she doesn't want to tear out the autographs to put in her photo album - which is fine with me - it is her choice.

As far as tags go, depending on when you are going, there are several of us here who have sizzix machines and have tag dies. I know if I have enough time between now and your trip, I wouldn't mind cutting some out for you. Also, if there is a local scrapbook store (lss) near you, they may have die cutting equipment that you can use on site. You could cut your tags there.

If you pm me with an email address, I can send you photos of ones I have found on the web - whenever I find an idea I like, if possible, I save that idea onto my computer for future reference.

Thanks for the info RealMickeysGirl. That was very generous of you to offer to cut tags. We aren't going until Feb, so I do have some time. I think I will check at my local scrapbook store this week end. I guess I was thinking out loud trying to figure out which way is best. I am thinking I would like the signature to end up in a small book with their picture on one side and the autograph on the other side with some embelishments. I would love you to e-mail me ideas that you've saved. How do I PM you??
