Autograph books?

About how much can I expect to pay for an autograph book in the CSR gift shop or at MK?

Trying to decide which is the least expensive purchase when we get there or pay for express shipping to the house.

My kids never did the autograph books at WDW - and we've been taking them there so many times for many years! A photo of them with a character from time to time was enough for our family (but we do have the PINS...)

If they want to do autographs though, I'd buy the books at WDW. I don't think they were very much $. Plus they are the Disney ones! That would make them special I think. They sell pens also. Just don't get started on those pins (kidding, they are so cute and my kids loved trading with cast members, I love that! It got them talking to the cast members and it was nice to meet people from all over the world).

The blue Mickey and Friends autograph book sold throughout the parks is $6.95. I thought that was a fair price. They do sell fancier ones which I believe are around $10.

The autograph pens are $3.95. They are big and are easier for the characters to hold because of their gloved hands.

We always pick them up at the park. My kids have always loved getting autographs. On our last trip my youngest son who was about to turn 3 decided that if the characters were going to sign the books so was he ... I can't tell you how many pages we discovered he had written on before we caught him in the act.

You can also find them at the Walt Disney theme park store at OIA when you land, if you wish.

I agree with PP's, just buy the autograph books the kids want at the parks - it will be the first of many souvineer purchases. You can however, find thick pens here at home for significantly less.

Or - what I did last trip was purchase a light colored Disney themed baseball hat for my dd's and had the characters sign with a shaprie. The hat stayed on the heat (sun protection) so there was no fumbling for a page and all I had to carry was a couple sharpies.

The previous autograph books sat on a shelf but the hats were worn and re-worn and when not on the head are on a hook display in the kids bedrooms.

Any gift shop sells them. They are sold in the hotel gift shops and I sure the World of Disney at DTD would sell them too.
