I remember reading about people making autograph books with a page for the autograph and the opposite page to put a photo taken with the character. What kind of book/album do you use? Is it something you can buy, or do you make it yourself?
One of my wife's friends made one. She bought an autograph book at Dland and got the corners for pictures at Michaels craft store. It worked out great, you just need to be the one who gives the characters the book so each page is signed where you want it.
I've been making a ton of autograph books for clients.
For logistics reasons (not sure which characters you'll find, not sure if you'll get a picture, etc) your best bet is to assemble something afterwards.
Have the characters sign a small blank notebook and then when you get home put the autograph onto a photo. You can use matting, clipart, stickers, etc. to dress it up an make it fun.
Oh that's a cute idea for Autograph books! I know my DD then 7 will be into them but not sure about DS who will be 10..... Do your older kids do autographs?
I have autograph books I bought at Disney for the kids a couple years ago and never used them, but they're not really big enough to put a picture in. I'd like to find a 4 X 6 size.
I have a small Disney 4 X 6 photo album, and I'm thinking of having the characters just sign blank 4 X 6 cards. That way when I get home, I can put the photo on one side and the autographed card on the other. I'm thinking of either carrying loose cards or getting the cards that are attached with a ring binder.

This is what we did last year. Last year I used paper I fould in the hotel room. This year I'll do the same, but I've already purchased card stock from the local craft store. ($3 for 100 cards / multi color too)
I remember seeing Disney selling princess auto/ photo books last year for (I think) $12. I didn't see any for boys. Then there's the original blue auto book with micky and gang on the cover. When I purchased in 2003 it was $5. I think last year it was up to $7
Here are a few samples of autograph books and pages that I have made. The whole book takes just a few hours and the characters absolutely adore the books when they see them. They usually make a big fuss over them!
My sister and I got cheap autograph books at like Walmart or even the dollar store so we could tear out the pages and place them in our scrapbooks with the pictures we took with the characters. To do this you have to make sure the characters don't sign on the backs of other characters pages. This is just another idea if you are doing scrapbooks.
