In preparation for our trip two years ago, we had our niece make her own autograph book out of construction paper and yarn.
When we got home we helped her make a collage of pictures of her meeting the character with their autograph next to it as well. The collage is still on the wall and a great reminder of our trip.
This idea would work in a scrapbook as well.
Just another autograph option that turned out great for us.
FYI....KBToys has diary type books with princesses, pirates of the Car. and Ariel. They are $2.99 a piece. I bought them for the girls. They came with letters to personalize the cover.
Great price and worked out perfect.
yes there are several in the parks and the WDW resorts, along with pens. I think they were around $10 and pens were under $5.
When meeting characters - have a nice fat pen for them to hold and the page where you want them to sign ready .. my girls (4&5) had the system down after the first two meet and greets.

We were just at the Disney store and first found autograph books for 8.50$ They have Alice in Wonderland, Grumpy and EEyore. As cute as they were,,, my girls are all 'girlie girl" and love glitter and princess'/ We looked around and came across BEAUTIFUL Gold Books with 3 of the princesses on the cover. They looked so REGAL! They cost about $2 more then the others, but worth it for them. (they had saved up for these) we also were able to get fat pens with their favorite princess at Claires. for about $2. As this is our first trip to WDW we are not sure if we got a bargin or not! We are just heppy we are prepared and the girls found books they love.
ANother family at the Disney store at the same time shared that they make their autograph books and that the characters love them.
the last time we were in the World (April 2007)... I saw a blue cover one with the Disney characters on it and then a pink one that I think had the princesses or some princess theme... we got just the blue ones w/ the characters on them since they were smaller than the pink princess ones and easier to tote around in our bag. I don't recall seeing any other types of designs except those ones. The blue one was around $8.00? and the princess one was around $12/$13? I can't recall exactly... sorry bad memory---mommy brain.
