I've heard a lot of discussion about autograph books with a place to put a phoe of the child w/ the character signing. Is this something that is available at the parks or it is something that everyone is making/buying from ebay ahead of time.

Any information (what's available, where to buy, how they work out, etc.) would be greatly appreciated as we go in 11 days!!!

They are all over the place...available in every park & resort gift shop.

There is one kind with the princesses on it & I'm pretty sure there are others.

My kids don't use that kind because it doesn't have as many pages for autographs as the others do.

Maybe we'll see you there...we leave this Thursday night for 8 nights!!

You can get them at pretty much any gift shop at Disney. They have 2 with photo holding capability that I remember. One is pink with the princesses on itprincess: and the other is red with Sorcerer Mickey:smickey: and several other characters. They are quite a bit more expensive then the small ones and they don't have as many pages:rolleyes: . My kids got the small ones on our first trip and the big ones this last trip. We liked the small ones better because there were more pages for autographs. We ran out this trip with the photo ones:scared: . If you want to be able to get both things you might be better off buying a small scrapbook and then adding your pictures. Get one for inexpensive at Michael's or Joanne's and Disney it up with stickers and ribbons yourself, so you have better autograph potential:idea: . If you want the actual Disney autograph books which my kids prefer you just need to decide if you want more autographs or if pictures with the characters is more important to you. Have a great trip!

We got some for our kids last Dec in MK and then when we went out shopping at the Disney outlet they had the ones from the previous year ofr 3 bucks so we picked up a couple more for each kid. They are really cool we have each photo from each autograph in the books and the kids take them out to look at all the time.

A couple more questions:
1) For the photo autograph book - about how many photo pages / autograph pages does it have?
2) The photos go in a plastic sleeve, right?
3) Are the pretty durable? DD is 2 and is kind of "rough" with things and I think she'll want to hold/play with it - I don't expect board book durability - but I'm hoping the pages aren't super delicate!

Thanks!!

There are 15 plastic sleeves and yes they are very sturdy. They look like a regular hard bound book and have a little elastic pen holder. I wouldn't worry to much about her ruining it with her play. There aren't a lot of pages but we did fudge it a bit by having they characters like Cinderella and Prince Charming sign under the pictures spot and having the characters that don't see as well with their large heads using the big part of the page. It means the pictures will be a little hard to decide on when there are 2 autographs. The other thing I learned was to take the picture as a horizontal not a vertical. I didn't think about it at the time, but a lot of my good ones are vertical and the sleeves are made for horizintal pictures.
