Hey all!!! I am making autograph books for my 3 kids for our next trip. I understand HOW to make the books....I am looking for personal tips on which kind to make. should i do matte finish 4x6 photos in a store bought photo album? Photo paper and have it bound? card stock? Just looking for tips on which worked better for you and why? or why one DIDNT work for you. I will be saving the books but not scrapbooking them so that isn't an issue, i am more worried about ease of use while at the parks!!!!:confused3

ALSO.... i am doing a cover page for each of my 3 kids...then i will be doing "blank" border only pages on the inside......how many pages should i print in the "blanks" for each kid?

I've done a couple of autograph books, a couple of different ways.

I've used the card stock and it worked out fine. Lots of trimming to get the exact size (to fit the album) but it looked great. The second time I printed off the pictures on photo paper (thanks to a great deal at Walmart I got 200 pictures for 20 cents!). Those too looked great and were printed off on matte paper (by the way, Sharpies try completely on the photo paper but you have to give it 10 seconds to dry).

The autograph book idea that I got from the dis was to take a picture with the character and then put the autograph beside it. I bought an album that is two pages wide so when you flipped through the picture would be on top and the autograph is on the bottom. It really turned out great. My niece (whom I made the book for) loved the fact that she could see a picture of her with the character and then see the autograph.

As for the blanks, it just depends on how many characters you are printing off. If you are hitting the main characters, then I would print off at least 10 blanks. There is a disigner here that has blanks with each park background so it was easy to remember where you met that character b/c it was an Animal Kingdom background. My niece is an autograph hound and she wanted everyone's autographs so I printed off 10 blanks per park.
