Autograph book/Scrapbook ???

I love scrapbooking and I am debating on how I want my DDs to collect autographs. I plan to put our disney pictures in an album and would like to put the autographs in the album as well. I was considering taking the 7x7 or 8 1/2 x 11 albums and have them sign right on the pages. However, the size is kind of large and I don't want them to get messed up. But I also like the Disney autograph books. However, I think I would eventually tear the pages out to put them in the album. So I am thinking about getting a cheap autograph book at the Dollar Tree or maybe even unlined index cards and then just put them on the pages with the pictures.

Am I cheating my DDs out of having the Disney autograph books that everyone else will be walking around with? What do you think?

I bought a pack of 6 x 6 colored cardstock and punched holes at the top corner and strung a metal clip throught it and a different character signed each page. When we got home I took the rings out and I could fit 2 and sometimes 3 6 x 6 autograph pages in a scrapbook with a picture...worked really well..The characters liked it too...thought it was different

This idea is a little more expensive, but you could allow your daughter to have her own autograph and then you could get the character signatures as well on index cards. That way you can have them both!! I know that I have saved my autograph books and I had a different one for each trip. It was a really cool thing when I was little. I hope that helps!

I love the tag book in the link above. You and your daughter could make the tags and decorate the clipboard before you travel...that could be a fun project and she'll still be able to get autographs...and you'll still be able to put them in a book.

For our upcoming trip I bought a spiral bound book of index cards. They had a colored plastic binding and cover. I was able to get DS and DD favorite colors. I will decorate the back cover (as we are going to use the "blank" side not lined") and they will use this as their autograph book. Since I want to makeup a CM 7X7 Disney album for each of them when they come home I couldn't justifty cutting up a Disney autograph book, and the pages are so thin. Total cost for two autograph books and $4.

I have read on the creativity board the the characters really respond to seeing something different, that in itself made me want to be different.

I'm not sure how much they cost, but on our recent trip to WDW many of the stores carried that type of autograph book. It has a pocket on the left side the put the photo, and the right side is for the autograph. We did not do autographs this time around, but I saw many people using them.

Thanks. This is exactly what I was thinking. I used to be a Creative Memories consultant so I am using the black 7x7 albums. I did not think about decorating the cover of the index cards. I can use some disney stickers to decorate with. I will try to make them unique. Thanks again.
