Last year we bought a nice little autograph book in the parks blue with all the characters on it and "Walt Disney World" written on the cover. This year we are heading back down and i'm wondering..................do they put out different autograph books each year or are we gonna end up with the same one again? Looking for something different but like the authentic stuff. Anyone see a choice of books in the parks?

Thanks!

It was the same blue character book in Dec 2004. I too was hoping for a different one each year but this doesn't seem to be the case. They do now have a Princess autograph book available though is you have a little princess.

We were there in 2001 and it was the same blue book! Looks like that is it for awhile, huh? :guilty:

To do something different, but still from WDW, we bought the small character notebooks. They are about 4x6 and run veritcally. the cover is colored vinyl with a character shapped flap that fold over to velco closed. The paper inside is a small spiral notebook with a faded pic of the character on it. They have them in a variety of characters.

Where did you get this? :teeth:

we do the same thing - small character note books. you can find them at any and just about every gift shop in the resorts and parks. some have more of a selection than others, but they are every where and run about 6 to 9 bucks.

We bought our daughter a little notebook with Minnie Mouse on the front. Our son had the blue autograph book. They didn't fill their autograph books last year, so they will take the same ones this time. I personally did not like standing in line for autographs. I would prefer to ride the rides, but I guess for the kids it is like seeing the "stars" so that is part of the fun. This is for them anyway!

Would someone please let me know how large the stamp is so that we can save a space for it in the books we are making ourselves.

Thank you! :earsboy:

INSTEAD OF GETTING AUTOGRAPH BOOKS YOU MIGHT WANT TO CONSIDER BRINGING SOME OTHER ITEMS SUCH AS SHIRTS HATS ETC. LAST TIME WHEN WE TOOK OUR GIRLS THEY EACH HAD A PRINCESS TEE SHIRT AND GOT THEM SIGNED,THE KIDS WERE THRILLED AND IT DIDN'T COST MUCH MORE THAN THE AUTOGRAPH BOOK. WE JUST TOOK THE GIRLS TO THE DISNEY STORE AND HAD THEM EACH PICK ONE OUT. IF IT GOES WELL YOU MIGHT WANT TO CONSIDER DOING IT AGAIN AND PUTTING THEM AWAY FOR WHEN THEY ARE GROWN UP.

If we can't get to downtown disney on Saturday night when we arrive - does anyone know if we can get an autograph book at the popcentury shop or at Chef Mickeys when we go on Sunday?

Also - I amm planning to bring two pillowcases - so I can get autographs for the kids. Will the characters sign more than one thing?

As for lines - I agree. I know we will stand in line for a few but we decided to do a bunch of character breakfasts to avoid the lineups. Hope it makes a difference.

By stamp, do you mean the autographs? Only a couple of characters use n actual stamp and they are about an inch and a half to two inches square. The other characters all sign their names personally. I've used everything from the 4x6 size autograph book to full pieces of card stock and the characters seem to fill whatever space you give them. I would say to use a paper with a minimum size of 4x6 and don't take up too much space with the pictures. Just think about how much room you would need if you were going to sign "Cinderella" in big flourishing letters as that is one of the larger signatures. ::MickeyMo

I have seen the notebooks in most of the larger gift shops. I know for certain that they have a large variety of characters in World of Disney at DTD and the Emporium at MK. Also, I believe that I have seen them in the resort gift shops. A year ago they had Minnie, Mickey, Tink, Stitch, Pooh to name a few.

And to whoever else it was that asked...you can get the autograph in just about any gift shop both in the parks and resorts. You can certainly get one at Pop or go to the Contemorary gift shops before your Chef Mickey meal. They will no have books available at the restaurant itself.

Thank you - I will pass on rushing to DTD the night we check in now that I know I can get one at Pop or Contemporary. The Guest of Honor Pins if they are available will have to wait until the next day.

Little suitcase, there are several shops on the 4th floor concourse where Chef Mickey's is located. I believe that the one called Fantasia has the autograph books.

If you want something different and you have a car, check out Walgreens or CvS pharmacy close to Disney property. They have spiral bound autograph books for a couple of bucks apiece. They have a few princess styles too. I found them a couple of years ago when DD "had" to have a princess one. They also sold the fat pens with Disney characters on them. Frankly, I really liked the spiral bound better than the official Disney autograph book. I probably head by there again next week, since I need 3 new books for the kids. If you are interested in seeing these books, do a search on Ebay for Disney autograph books, and you'll see what I am talking about.

There have been two versions of the blue autograph book in the past few years. The older one is this:

And below is the newer one. The two books are the same size, even though my photos make one look much bigger! I think they started selling this one sometime in 2003, and still sell it today.

I would love to see some variety in the "offical" autograph books, too! I do like the way they are made, as I never had one fall apart or rip! :)
