Hi, I'm probably being really thick here but... I've seen several (very beautiful) home made autograph books. They seem to have a page per character but...how do you know which characters you are going to meet? What happens to the pages of the characters you don't meet? :confused3

I think most autograph book questions end up on the Scrapping board. Let me know if you want this moved.

You're not being thick at all...I've always wondered about that too! If I were doing one, I'd either make cards for the signatures & put them into a book once I got home or keep the pages loose before the trip. That way you could just save those "extra" unused pages for the next trip & hope you can get the autograph then.

I do think that part of it is mind set. When we go, we like to get autographs of characters we run into - but we don't go seeking them out. I know some people go with the plan to look for certain characters. That may have something to do with it.

Great minds think alike Deb, I was just fixin' to move this thread to the scrap board.

I make tags 4x4 or larger and bring a mini clipboard for each kid. Then I build the pages around the autographs we get. If you do make pages ahead of time, I suggest putting them in alphabetical order and then have a few pages in the back that are blank for those unexpected and rare characters. Keep in mind though that the autographs tend to take up the whole writing space and sometimes they write on the clipart, stickers, etc...

This year I am cutting paper to use in a top loading 8x8 album. I'm doing all different bright colors and when I get home I will put the photos in it. I got the "Once Upon A Time" album from Die Cuts With a View.

Last year I used a Creative Memories 8x8 and just had the pages signed and I'm still working on putting all the pics and decorations in.

The first trip I bought an autograph album from Disney and when I got home I added pictures. Because it is a bound book it now sits WIDE open.

I think what you do depends on how much you want to put into it. I think the pages are amazing that people do on here. I know how I am though, I already spend a lot of time collecting autographs and if I had preset pages I would scour the parks searching for the characters. At least this way if I see someone but have to be at an ADR or something I will keep walking if the lines are long.

I'm sure whatever you do it will be special and magical.
