We are now just under our 4 month mark until our trip to DL!!!! I am now thinking I should get a book done. If you could post any ideas, pictures, etc... that would be great and what worked best for you.
Thanks:thumbsup2

I ditto this!
I have found some fabulous photos for making pages but am very interested in other peoples ideas for putting a book together etc. What worked best for you and all that good stuff! I am worried about printing out the pages, like what if they get wet won't the ink run.....? Any tips?

I ended up making 4x6 pages on the computer in Word that had a picture of the character, their name and a footer with the date on it. Then I printed a lot of my daughters pages in pastel colors (i.e.: Sleeping Beauty on pink, Cinderella on blue, etc.) and my son’s pages were done in tans, white, grey and some primary colors (Many of the primary colored card stock was a little to dark but the yellow and blue did work).

After laminating the title and back page (you can buy a non heat type at a craft store) , I added a couple blank pages at the end in case there were some we didn’t have a page for. Then I took them to Staples and they punched the holes and bound them for me. I added pictures of the two for you so you can see what they look like all done. I had to make four total (2 boy, 2 girl) so what you see in each picture is the front of one and the back of the other.

If you want me to send you copies of my file, send me a PM with your e-mail address.

I've read a lot of posts about kids losing interest in a book full of autographs over the years - but this way you would have the photos with them so they would be enjoyed for much longer.

Buy a normal 6x4 photo album - there's loads of disney ones around. Then take a stack of 6x4 cardstock (blank or decorated) on a mini clipboard to the parks for the characters to sign.

When you get home insert the cardstock with the signature in the photo album with the related photo on the facing page.

Have a great trip!

Rosie Jo - that's what I am doing. I am making (or copying from other people) 4x6 designs and printing them on 4x6 cards for a family trip in Feb. My mom (who is 80) is going down with my sister, husband & I to join my sister's daughter, her husband (who comes home from Iraq in Jan) and their 3 daughters. I will have cards for all of the characters listed as moderate to easy to find. I will keep each set alphabetized (I am doing 3 sets) in a baggie. I will take a mini-clip board for the character to use for signing. My DH is the camera person and he will take picutres of the girls & my mom getting autographs from each character. The girls will have their own autograph book. the cards I am having signed will go in the photo memory book. My Mom (who has been going to Disney since it opened) wants to take this trip as she wants my niece's children (Mom's great grand children) to have happy memories of her. :cloud9: I figure if I make my mom and niece a book with picures and the autographs, the girls will have these memories for the rest of their life.   So to me it's more important to get the pictures and post the individual autographs in the photo book, rather than get the book bound. There is a thread that already has a bunch of the cards made and I plan on making 5 or 10 each weekend until the February trip. :yay:

Hi Claire,

This is the way I do it also, we have used your designs twice now for our DGS and once for my niece, they are wonderful.

Long time no see,

Debbie
