Can someone point me in the right direction to help me figure out where to start. I have 5 books to make, so I need something super easy and hopefully not a lot of $$. I was also hoping to make them small enough to fit in the kids waist packs. Any help would be appreciated! Thanks!!

Some of the people on these boards are so creative they have designed pages that you can print out with the character on it and they suggest getting it bound at Staples in a loop binder for around $4.
Mine was easier for me because I am not computer literate. I made them for my neice and nephew when we went a few years ago.
I bought a small 4X6 photo album at AC Moore for $1. I then got 4X6 unlined index cards for the book.
There is a list on one of the boards, (maybe someone else can send the link), of all the characters who are in the parks and where you can find them.
I went through quite a few pages of Disney clipart and printed out pages of characters about 2" tall and cut them out and glued them on the index cards. If you are more computer able maybe you can print them directly on the cards.
When we saw a character the kids just got into line, pulled the card out of their book and had the character sign it. The characters seem to get more excited when they see a photo of themselves and pantamine that it is them. The kids loved that.
When we got home my SIL took the cards out of the albulm and put them into a bigger albulm with the photos of the kids with the character. We did this 4 years ago and they still look at the book today.

If you go on to Natalie's shared files she has some great autograph pages already designed ready to be printed.

I have hodge poded two small clipboards for my dd5 and nephew 12. I did a princess one for my daughter and a fab 5 for my nephew. all you have to do is fine some disney paper and stickers that you like and glue the paper on to the clipboard and decorate with the stickers and then hodge podge.

I then plan on having the individual character cards for each of them and I will put the in ziploc bags in alphabetical order. When we are ready to get a signature I will just pull it out and put it on the clipboard.

I need to figure out what kind of pen to get though.

I then plan on getting a photo album and I will put the autograph on one side and a picture with them and the character across from it.

I love the clipboard idea. I was thinking of printing up each page and having kinkos bind it, but I might do the clipboard idea! Very creative.

This is how I do mine........

I personally think Penny's (chaoscent) are much prettier, but mine are more ink friendly!

I leave extra space at the top so that I can easily scan the pages into my computer for scrapbooking ( I do digital!).

mickey527 was right........ (Most) of the characters were so much fun when they saw their pictures in my DD's book. The Mad Hatter was probably one of the best. We saw him right inside the Fair Tent in Toontown. He took the book over to the CM's in the shop and started demanding that they sell more Mad Hatter merchandise! In AK, Meeko started paging through the book and found Tarzan's page. She started kissing it and acting like she wanted to keep it. The book was extra work, but all of the magical memories it created were worth it!

I made 3 books for our last cruise. I believe I made them 4x6 and left about 1/2 in margin on the left for the binding. I had the front and back cover laminated. I used light cardstock and got three pages to fit on one letter size sheet and just cut them out.

I got my cruise pages from Are we there Yet's photobucket acct.

I used Penny's (Chaoscent) pages for my upcoming trip. I don't have that finished yet.

Here's a photo of the cruise books. Hope that helps.
