autograph bok question

I got my nephew one on his first trip when he was 3. It made him want to go up to the characters so he wasn't scared.

My girls, 4 & 6 each had one and we even got my niece one of her own, she was 17 months. My sil had all my nephews cute fishing type hats to get signatures, they are 1, 2.5, 5, & 6.

Almost 5. He loved the characters when he was little but I didn't feel he knew what an autograph was or anything. This age was good, except he doesn't much care for a character if it has a line now a days.

ETA - He loves looking through his book at home though. I will add pictures of him with the character next to the names, just haven't gotten that far yet.

We took our first trip when the kids were 2 and 4. They each were very happy to have their own.

I had no idea DS would want one at 3, but in September when he was in line to meet Buzz in the first hour of our first morning, he saw other older children with autograph books, and let us know that he wanted one, too.

He filled the one we bought on that trip, so I thought we were done, but when we went in December, he asked us to get another one. They aren't that expensive so it wasn't a big deal, but I was still very surprised each time!

Dd was 3, almost 4 the first time we went to Disney and she had an autograph/scrapbook. She took it up to the characters sometimes and I did it the other times. It helped that she had her older cousins doing it too. She used the same book on our Disney cruise last January but will get a new book for our next cruise in August.

As a side note, I had completed the scrapbook portion of our trip to the World when we were on the cruise and at one point Peter Pan and Mulan were looking at the previous pages together and commenting on how cool it was. How's that for a seal of approval?

We got one for our 4yo DS and another one for our DS who was 18 months at the time. We got a Junior Encyclopedia of Animated Characters. We have each character sign next to his or her name. We went back a second time and were able to add on more signatures. Then DS were 5 and 2 1/2. We didn't want our second son to feel left out as we keep adding signatures. If the character doesn't have a picture, we have him or her sign the front and back cover. We then add a small picture next to it. The only exceptions were the power rangers. My older son was really into them and has a special book just for them. The only downfall to the book is it can be heavy carrying it all day through the parks. Right now it is not a huge issue as we still use strollers, but in a few years it may become one.

DS is taking one this year at 2, and his younger cousin will have one at 15 months. :) Yeah, it's for us. :)
