My daughter has been to WDW twice without even thinking about getting autographs. She was to young to even notice the older kids wanted something more than just a hug and a chat. I'm happy not carting around one more thing, but....

She is getting closer to 4 years old and I know she will catch on to what the other kids are doing on this trip. Should I break down and just buy the book on day one and show her how to fill it up. Or should I wait until she ask's for one? I would hate to spend half the trip re-standing in line for the same characters so she can get their autoraph.

When did your kids start?
What would you do if you were me?

DD started on her first trip last week. :) I thought she might be scared of the characters, but I think they were her favorite part. She loved it. :)

We were there for the 1st time last month. DD is 4 and we brought the autograph book. She was not all that interested in it so I basically got all the autographs but I thought it was better to be safe & have it! Now she is happy because when we developed our pics we put a pic of her with the character next to the autograph & she loves seeing the different ways the characters signed.
Let's put it this way, my dd LOVED pin trading & was trading with CM's in front of other kids who did not have any pins & they seemed very sad & the parents had to explain why they could not get a pin too. So it is better to have everything prepared just in case!!!
Get a book and a wide marker (like a Crayola washable marker). A pen is tough for the characters who are not human (wearing gloves, etc).
