Hi there!

I am hoping that someone can help me. I am considering taking the Auto train in August 2005 to WDW. Our first trip ws on the 92 regular line which seem to stop every half an hour (did not like that aspect). I have read a lot on this board about the bumpiness of the Auto Train and was wondering if it is the same as the regular route, which was bad however we adjusted to it after a while?

Also, does anyone how early you can book the auto train? I would like to get the best rate possible and it is my understanding the earlier you book, the better the rate.

Also are the bathrooms cleaner on the auto train compared to the 92/93 trains?

I think you can book the AutoTrain 11 months out.
As for the smoothness of the ride, the AutoTrain travels along tracks that are used for freight, so the ride may well be bumpier. However, we have traveled the AutoTrain the past 3 years and were not to jostled to badly.

Check out the all about the auto train thread at the top of the forum. I started it as a way to help ppl out.

Unlike the regular train it does not stop.

I think the rail line does not run as the regular train but I'm not sure.

Yes the sooner the book the better, note fares for August should be lower anyway since its not snowbird season.
