i ordered something from an ebay supplier in Australia and the pay pay went through over a week ago with no response from the seller...any idea how long a package would take to get to the us from there? figure I'd give it a reasonable time before before i ask him what's the deal but not sure what a reasonable time would be.
Thanks

When my friend send things from the land down under, it usually takes up to a month (depending on the Canadian Customs Service) for the package to arrive. They usually send me Anticol and Burger Rings (0bli0 knows what I'm talking about)

well then i won't be expecting it anytime soon :teeth:

did he/she respond already saying the item was posted? when i send stuff overseas, i generally use a courier rather than general post but it seems to take just over a week either way (without paying for express.

yes, i know anticol and burger rings very well :) - my DS and DW were eating some burger rings and twisties when i came home from the airport tonight. you don't have 'em send Tim Tams, Promite, Anzac biccies, etc.?

We have Tim Tams, Twisties and Promite equivalent here in Canada (same brand, but manufactured either in Singapore or Malaysia). I really miss Anticol and Burger Rings. Can't get them anywhere here and my friend have moved Kuala Lumpur for the past year so no more Anticol or Burger Rings for me :(

That is always best. Almost all contract disputes are from poor negotiations and/or lack of communication.

Sending the seller a qucik note saying "payment has been sent and there was no response so you wanted to check and make sure they got their money" is just good communication.

and making your inquiry seem to be in their interest, by rewording it from "where is my package" to "did you get the money OK" changes it from a nagging email to friendly letter.

but i'm so good at nagging.... just ask my husband :lmao:

If they used a cheaper form of packaging (well, you'd want to!) it ought to take maybe up to two weeks, unless it's on a boat, in which case settle in ;) it depends on what the package is and where you live really. Most of the time, when my parents send a package it takes about a week to a week and a half to arrive here in Atlanta.

Hope it arrives soon! Oh, and thanks Kelly and 0bli0 for the reminders about Burger Rings.......cravings shall ensue!

This site sells Burger rings, at least: http://www.aussiecatalog.com/

You could probably find others that do, too.

and oh btw..my package is coming from HongKong...not sure why they converted it to australian $$ :confused3 ... and should take about 2 weeks so a big    for me

I can't really tell you - they don't really taste like hamburger, but they do have a tangy, sort of barbecue-y taste, though not as strong as the smoky barbecue taste is. They're very addictive!

So, your Aussie supplier actually shipped the product from Asia? Weird. Still, should take about the same amount of time since Hong Kong is only marginally closer than Australia.

there are lots of dealers who register as Australian sites, but ship from HK. always check the feedback.

down here we get american stuff from usafoods.com.au - but i go to the states so often, i pick up stuff i love (reese's, etc.). my colleague in the states used to have me send stuff to her once a month but she has found a site online. i know of a shop in the bay area where you can get tim tams, VB, wine gums, dryza bone, real uggs, etc.

0bli0, when my Anticol supply is depleted, would you mind shipping me some? I'd reimburse you, of course.
