Australia and New Zealand Front page Victory Thread

Just getting this thread ready

consider this like a pre front page victory report thread

cmon people we all know we should be out there and if we stand up and be counted i think we can do it

hopefully we may even get some UK support (if i stop calling them criminals )

As was said in the tech forum, we find that when we get over to USA we are welcomed with open arms and have had great cultural exchanges with people from USA but here at the DIS i cant say that im really feeling that

this great country is considered nothing more than an "Other Land"

we are so much more than a "other land"

so i say we should stand up and be counted for this Ladies and Gentlemen

please announce your support and post up any stratergies you think we can use to get this issue on the table of the dis mod forum for discussion and implementation

lets keep this a positive campaign
no taking signs to the front of the castle in wdw for photos with stuff like "im from the Other Dis"

any ideas ? post them up

yes they were a little annoying yesterday
but we are all so over waiting for the holiday and with the whole dog thing we have not hassled them to much

just sent a letter to the neighbours as they all knew Josephine quite well
i was shaking when i typed it

she was a great dog and a good friend
so gentle and loving

I have though about this as well, not sure how to go about it though. Might need to start pm'ing moderators. I also like the thought of adding our new Zealand cousins to the title. We need to stand strong together in the southern hemisphere.

anyway back to topic......I really dont mind being in "other lands", it stops random's from the main board walking all over our lawn and taking my Ikea catalogue before I get to read it.

only draw back is that other "Aussies/kiwi's " seem to not know we are in the neighbourhood.....it's only when they have broken down out the front and need our hose for a radiator top up that they see we are here.....

We get Austria a lot....cant quite figure that one out.....

Whenever I am in Vienna, Austria I am very amused by a range of souvenirs in all of the souvenir shops. They are a range of teatowels, magnets, keychains, tshirts. All yellow, they are a yellow shape like a street sign saying "no kangaroos in Austria". Now I was very confused the first time I saw this. I asked one of the shop assistants in one store, why all of the shops had these things, as kangaroos are Australian not Austrian. She said because so many americans come to Austria asking where they can see the kangaroos!!!!!! So funny!
