I don't normally post on the Disboards as I prefer Trip Advisor (don't shoot me!) but i'm researching my first Disney Cruise (I am a repeat WDW and DL visitor) and the Disboards are great for Cruise info :)

Anyhoo, I have a heap of pins that I buy and trade when I visit WDW and DL which is usually a yearly trip but that isn't enough for me. I'm sure it isn't enough for some of you either, well i'm hoping it isn't.
I've started a Facebook group and i'm hoping that we can swap, sell and buy Disney pins from home (Australia) and not have to wait for our next trips. If you would like to join it's an open group and you can find it here https://www.facebook.com/groups/598241486912295/ I looked all over the net and couldn't find anything that already exists but if there is somewhere please let me know.

What a great idea, I'm absolutely in. I have also been on the Disney Dream so if you have any questions, feel free to ask away or add me on twitter

Ooh I'll def have cruise questions, I'm a veteran when it comes to WDW and DL but this is our first ever cruise so feel a little silly not knowing anything. I really hope the pin trading with Aussies takes off, tell all your friends to join!

What a great idea!! :cool1::cool1:

Our boys really got into pin trading at our last trip to WDW and we're heading back at the end of Nov to get some more lol We're also going on the Disney Magic Cruise ship this time which we are SO excited about!!!! :beach:

I'll join the facebook page once I take some pics of the boys pins to share :D

Speaking of pin trading......

I just bought some pins off eBay so my kids could have some to trade and now that I have them I realise (through online research) that most appear to be scrappers :( I'm really upset at myself for not doing the research before I spent $50 on rubbish!!

Think I might leave the pin trading :(

Lisa you will find that a lot of the pins traded at the Disney parks especially by cm's are scrapers! Don't be discouraged it's. Lot of fun.

Really? I have this image of the CMs scrutinising then rejecting my kids' pins and then lots of tears :( Don't they check them? I would feel terrible knowingly trading scrappers though. I just wanted to add another dimension to our holiday :(

We got pins from eBay and successfully traded. The kids loved it (and so did I)!
The CMs don't really look at what you trade. I did leave a couple at home that looked dodgy, but the others looked fine and all the ones I traded for looked fine too.

I agree, they don't even look. But do steer clear of the "sexy" pins like tinkerbell etc. Those are a dead giveaway for scrappers and no one wants those!

Thanks guys, all might not be lost then. I don't want to do the wrong thing, I just want the kids to have some fun.

They actually look pretty good (except for slightly rough edges and Mickey Heads that don't go all the way to the edge) so I might just let the. Do it a few times. Still feel guilty though, lol!

Just trade the scrapers with cm's you'll be fine like I said, I've gotten scrapers from them before and traded them back with other cm's it's common.
