Trip Report Aussies' Disney Adventure - PTR

Looks great so far!

I haven't really heard anything about Qatar Airways, only that they won the airline of the year award, which I was going to mention but I see you already know that!

When my parents went to Europe last year they flew with Emirates and went through Dubai. They really liked doing it that way as it split the journey into more equal halves. In fact, they said they'd never do it any other way. And now here we are, going with Qantas (who slipped down a number of places in the awards to now be out of the top 10), flying through Hong Kong :lmao: Amazing what people will do for a $1500 flight to Europe!

Oooh! What a great itinerary so far. Jealous!

Thanks so much!! :goodvibes

Qantas for $1500 to Europe is a great deal! Although i do love flying Qantas domestic, i have to say their service on the last overseas trip i took with them left a lot to be desired, compared to other airlines. However, i'd definitely fly with them for that price anytime! :thumbsup2

On September 12th we have an extremely early flight to Malta - i think it departs at 6am. We are flying with Ryanair, because the flight time was much better than Air Malta. It still cost nearly as much after you add in the price for luggage and priority boarding. Oh well. :scratchin

While in Malta we will be staying with my Aunt, who is living there while she is working for the Australian Government. We will stay 5 nights. We are planning to see the Hypogeum, Gozo, Mdina, Popeye Village and lot's more. It will be great having 'locals' to show us around and a car for us to use. My husband's family are Maltese, and he is planning on meeting up with some relatives he's never met before.

From Malta, on Monday September 17th we are departing for Brussels. We orginally added this to our itinerary as it was much cheaper to fly to Brussels rather that straight back to Paris. Not a hassle though as we are both very much looking forward to seeing Brussels. We will only have 2 nights there, really only 1 and a half days, but we will try to make the most of it with our siteseeing. We are flying Air Malta this time from Valletta to Brussels.

We don't arrive in Brussels until late in the evening, and i think a cab will be our best bet to our hotel. We are splurging a little here, and staying in the Conrad Brussels.

Wednesday 19th September will be the day i have been waiting for! We are boarding a TGV train mid-afternoon direct to Disneyland Paris! I hope the train is on time so we can make the most of the evening in the Parks!

Next up, all our Disneyland plans. pixiedust:

Yep, still jealous! I don't know much about Malta so will be interested to read all about that :thumbsup2

I have never flown Qantas internationally before and would normally have chosen a different airline, but at that price they were hard to go past! It actually works out quite well as I get to do a stopover in HK on the way back and check out Grizzly Gulch ;)
