Aussie Disneyland Planners come on in and lets plan together :)

YAY!!!
Gotta say as much as love my Mickey Mouse I do miss home when I'm away and very much appreciate our great brown land!
I am all for you helping to work on our burgers...and we will work on your meat pies :lmao:

We are gradually working on getting all your best food....and FINALLY have Ben and Jerry's on the way so I don't have to down a year's supply of Chunky Monkey on my trips :woohoo:

Not sure who Pete is???? Really?? God, I have to work on my name recognition :)

Especially after spending 3 weeks in this beautiful country and getting to meet so many wonderful people - I have no problem at all giving our Aussie friends whatever they need to help feed their Disney obsession :)

Give me a few days to get home, get 'un-jetlagged' and we'll make it happen.

Honestly - this is the most beautiful place on earth and I hate to leave. I hope you Aussies appreciate the place you live - we just need to help you work on your burgers :)

Pete

Pete.... imagine the craze you could start if you returned to the USA and started putting beetroot, pineapple and tomato on ur burgers!!!!

thanks for making this forum happen for us!

Jess

What??????? A burger is not a burger if it doesn't have beetroot and tomato on it, without those it's just a warm sandwich :confused3

Well I just wanted to share that I bit the bullet and booked Fantasmic PS.

That's awesome. Now my dh is hoping to not have to stay up till 2am to book but to do what you did

Thanks so much Pete. I'm so glad you've enjoyed your trip down here.

HEY GUYS.....

We had the meet with John and Walter in sydney today and as promised, i asked Pete about giving us an Aussie section.....

He said it IS A DONE DEAL....

He said he had no idea that we were after a section and was more than happy to organise it!

so hopefully it wont be too long before it is up and running
Jess

Pineapple, bacon, egg, tomato, pineapple, cooked onion, beetroot.....etc...
That IS a burger.

Did someone give Pete toast and vegemite???

Well done Jess. Hope you enjoyed the day in town. I hope you got them to agree to plug the DUD on the podcast as well.

That actually sounds good...but does it go well on veggie burgers?

I'm still lurking around since hubby is in Canberra and you guys helped us so much. He's loving the Novotel. :goodvibes

It's really cool you all will be getting your own section here! But where will I go when I need info? :)

Yay, can't wait to see what you come up with for us.

As for the burgers, I am really excited to get to the US to try yours. I will let you know what I think.

For those of you heading over soon, make sure you get to In Out Burger, they are YUMMY!!!!!!!!!!!! :) didn't like their fries much though.

On the day we arrived we had a quick sleep then caught a bus just down from HoJo's that took us to In Out. We then checked out the Toys R us that was next door and got some bargains and a shoe warehouse and the Disney warehouse and then Target was across the street. Had been in LA about 5 hours and already we were loaded up with some serious shopping (bargains) and food supplies.

We then caught a cab back to HoJo's after a very embarrasing experience. The phone to ring the cab was at the end of the parking lot out the front of a mexican restaurant. While hubby went down to call DS 11 and I tried to push the trolley down to him to wait for the cab. We got to the end of the carpark and the trolley wouldn't move, dodgy wheels we thought, so DS and I pushed it all the way back and transferred all of the shopping into another trolley, same thing happened again, the trolley got to a certain point and stopped. Meanwhile hubby and DD's were in the restaurant as they had offered to call the cab for us. :) We later found out everyone was inside laughing at us, seems everyone except us knows the trolleys have some kind of trolley anti theft system to do with magnets. We then thought while we waited for the cab who was going to be about 25 mins we should repay the favour for them making the call by buying a drink. We just got two ice cold Corona's and the cab turned up. When we got in DD told us about everyone laughing at us. Glad we left in a hurry :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

hhhmmmm I guess i will try not to take it personally that you all want to leave.......

Oh We're not going anywhere. Just need a space where we can spread out our threads to get more organised.

I'd be lost without this place.

Thanks for the Trolley tip Lovintheland. I wouldn't have known that.

I love In n Our burger, but will have to give Fat Burger a try too.

So many places to eat, and not enough time!!

Has anyone been to Mrs Knott's for the fried chicken? Last time we tried to go but the wait was huge so we went to Friday's instead.

That chicken is SOOO good. Even the strange looking white gravy was good. I think it's the only reason I agreed to go back to Knott's.

Excellent, will keep Mrs Knotts on the list. I am going to have to do heaps of walking to keep the weight off!!

We also loved Mrs Knotts. We got it from the take-out counter and not at the sit down restaurant. We then just took it back into the park to eat. Loved the gravy and also the biscuits and jam. My mouth is watering thinking about it.

Good idea!! We are not going to the park, but I am sure we will be able to find somewhere to have a picnic.

Thank you Pete

Do not worry we nearly did the samething but my wife notice a sign in the store that said about how the trolley wheels will lock if you try to go out the carpark but it would be interesting to know how people that it happens too.

Don't you just love the biscuits and gravy and I really love the peanut butter and strawberry jelly cannot wait to go back again only got half a jar left will have to make it stretch.

Do you think it is rude to singalong with POTC when on the ride.

We got the take-away dinner also, and took it back with us on the bus to our room. Just heated it up in the microwave:)

Also, you HAVE to try the boysenberry punch - that was awesome.
