Aussie Disneyland Planners come on in and lets plan together :)

OMG OMG OMG 1 week until we fly out of Aus!!!!!!!!!!!! :scared1::scared1:

OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG :scared1::scared1::scared1::scared1:

Ok, freak out over, thankyou for listening :grouphug:

How exciting for you. We will all get there eventually...................
Are you packed yet? My DH always jokes that I have my suitcase out months in advance.

czardas thanks so much for the advice. Yes, I was on the Cirque site, that was where I saw those prices. I think that $240ish for all 3 of us is a great price so I think I am going to do it. The other seating option I was looking at were some seats I think second or third row back on the first tier but they are smack on dead centre. I might see if I can get those ones as they might just be a bit better than right on the floor, especially if the stage is raised.

Yay for Kel77. So excited for you:cheer2:Make sure you give us a full report when you get back.:yay:

good cirque tips. Have any of you see any of the cirque shows in Vegas? We are looking at doing Mystere but not sure, thinking it is the best option for kids.

I saw Cirque's LOVE at the Mirage. It's the one that uses the Beatles music and it was really great!!

It's probably a bit less acrobatic than the other Cirque shows and a bit more obviously interpretive of the music but I really enjoyed it. I'd recommend it, especially if you like the Beatles.

We went to see O at Bellagio, as I know this show will never be able to tour due to the swimming pool/water aspect. Brilliant!
If I had my way I would of gone to all of them, hubby wanted to see the naughty (R rated) one:lmao:

My sister in law went to Ka, I think at MGM and really enjoyed it. She's not normally into this type of entertainment, so that's saying something.

I fell pretty good about the rate and there is only a week left until we leave so I can't see anything really drastic happening with the market during that period :goodvibes

Although...............you never know :lmao:

With the CBA card they have a flat $15 start up fee and there is no % charged for your initial load up - it's 1% of re-loads though. The ATM fee is $2.50USD and there are NO fees for eftpos (in-store, online, or over the phone).

You get 2 cards and each have there own PIN. It takes 24-48hrs to activate though. I went to go online last night and kept getting told I had an "invalid" card :scared1: I called the 24hour number and was told about the activation time - I wasn't told that at the bank.

Do you need to be a CBA account holder to get the travel card?

Marvel. We are going to Mystere but only because O wasn't playing the days we are in Vegas. I would definitely go to O if you can, it looks spectacular. Show your kids the video trailers of both shows and see which one they choose. You really can't make a bad choice, they are all fab.

Kel, I would be totally feeling excited, sick, happy, insane if I only had that long to go. How wonderful for you.

thanks for the info on cirque. THe say that mystere is more acrobatic and I am thinking the kids 11 and 9 might be into that more. I will have to check out videos of both, thanks for that tip.

Wow kel, 1 week, i am freaking and we have a month to go!!

According to the Phantim3 counter on my desktop I have 52 days, 1 hour, 29 minutes and 36 seconds to go until we fly out.

For our last couple of trips I've started my Holiday video by showing the counter on my desktop ( usually as we were waiting for the cab to arrive)

I love countdowns :-)

We are sitting at a month and 3 days. So exciting!!
Going to buy some USD this week. Although I wonder about waiting LOL

Me too! My oldest son works at the Commonwealth bank and my Dh is an accountant - they both put their hands in the air and shrug their shoulders when I ask when should we buy cash :)

I asked my son to buy me some on Friday but will hold out now and wait for a while to see how the rates go before we buy any more.

We went to the USA last year - booked about half the trip when the dollar was at 93cents. We made the mistake of waiting too late to buy our cash and only got it at around 80cents. Then, the week we went away the dollar dived into the 60s :headache:

It's all such a gamble :confused3

No you don't have to have a CBA account. I don't bank with CBA. You have to bring in the cash though when you set up the card. We had to withdraw the $8000 from Suncorp and then walk through the shopping centre to get to the CBA!! That was a bit scary  I walk through that shopping centre on a weekly basis and never worry about having my bag taken but that day I was freaking out :lmao: I had Hubby with me though so he was my bodygaurd :thumbsup2

Well, only 5 sleeps now until we fly to Fiji. The $ rate is amazing! For $1AUD we get $1.68FJD :thumbsup2

I am feeling really really sick! I know i'm not coming down with anything, I'm just feeling the nerves , fear :scared1: and excitement :yay: all at once!

We are packed and ready to go. I even changed handbags so I could put all tickets and passports in the one I want to take with me. Everything is ready to go (except for a few of Hubby's clothes - he's still wearing shorts and shirts!!). I have gone over my list a 1000 times and believe that it is all done :thumbsup2 All that's left is for the cab to turn up on time on Saturday :lmao:

Well, only 5 sleeps now until we fly

Go Kel :banana::banana:

I remember chatting with you oh 6 or more months ago on another BB and it seemed so far off back then !!

Here we are !:cheer2:

Have a great time and can't wait for your trip report :cool1:

I used a travel cash card in NZ recently, just as a trial run for the US trip.

I'm 50/50 as to whether we'll take one to the US now. I wasn't able to get cash out when I purchased other items at a supermarket and a lot of places only allowed 'cash' or 'cheque' if trying to use EFTPOS/the card (despite the lady at the airport where I purchased it from telling me I could get cash out). That wasn't much good to me as I could only push ''credit' to use the card.

On the other hand, we'll be gone for 5 1/2 weeks and it'd be safer to have the money on a card rather than carrying cash. :confused3

So excited though, as we are now getting free dining for the 2 weeks we are in Disneyworld, whch has saved us almost $2000 AUD!:scared1: That'll be enough to pay for 4 nights at the Disneyland hotel when we go back to California. (The other 11 nights in Anaheim cost less than the 4 nights at the DL hotel.:scared1:).
