It's a twister! It's a twister!!

Just sending thoughts and prayers to all DISers around the midwest. I'm sitting up at the computer because I can't sleep through all of the wailing sirens, pounding rain, constant lighting, occasional hail, and rumbling thunder.

(Wow... that was just a lesson on adjectives, wasn't it?)

Just thought I'd drop in and say hello to anyone else hanging out on the DIS because it's too noisy out there to sleep. And to send my positive thoughts to anyone who experienced damage or loss to these ridiculous storms!

My thoughts and good wishes go out to everyone in the paths...we had several come through our area...very rare...In one town across the water a school was completely demolished along with the school buses..then in Bertie County, NC a twister went down a street and tore up everything in it's path.

We were in the basement for the worst of it, so I didn't hear a thing! But things were fine. We never lost power, and no trees were knocked down, thank goodness!

Wow! That sounds terrible. I'm glad you are safe. I probably should be used to the storms, living in Indiana, but as I get older, I've become more and more frightened.
