Aulani Vow Renewl- without DFTW?

I was thinking about doing a small vow renewel for our 10 Anniversary at Aulani. It would just be 4-6 people, plus myself and DH. I would really like to do this on the beach and I know that there are currently no locations that this can be done. With that said, would it be possible to just have a vow renewel on a beach in Ko Olina without using DFTW? We would be staying at Aulani and I would get ready there. Would I be able to have a photographer take some photos around the resort with DH and I dressed and then just have nice dinner at the resort? Perhaps order a cake through Disney for dinner? I know that this would never work at WDW, but was wondering if this was possible at Aulani?

Welllll.... I know of at least one couple who had an unofficial wedding while they were at Aulani, but I'm not sure if it was on Aulani's beach. Our experience was that even though we had an official vow renewal through Disney's Fairy Tale Weddings, we STILL got hassled by an overzealous Ko Olina security guard when we were shooting out on the point after the ceremony. So that might put a damper on your day. Even though Aulani is physically distant from the long arm of DFTW, it's such a small resort that you're bound to be noticed.

You can order a cake by working with Private Dining at the resort. (Tip there: they use the almost-flavorless "Chantilly" buttercream at Aulani, not the thick, rich traditional buttercream you may be used to at Walt Disney World. Our cake was gorgeous to look at but tasted like cardboard.)
