Has anyone's daughter done the The Keiki Wahine experience? If so can you post a picture and say if you thought it was worth it?

Thanks, Erika

My daughter did this last year when we went as a part of her birthday gift. She really enjoyed it and I would say it was worth it. They did her fingers and toes as well as her hair and makeup. The hair took the longest and it was adorable! We did it the same night we planned to go to the Starlit Hui and she looked great. Unfortunately I am unable to post pictures. She still has the dress and I'm thinking it will be in the suitcase when we return to Aulani in a couple of weeks!

Oh, I don't remember how long we were in there, but it was definitely longer than it says on the website!

Thank you so much for your response.

What did they do with her hair? What is the dress like and how much did this cost. My oldest DD's bday is 2 days before we leave-I think she would love this!

Her hair was curled and put in an up do and flowers where intertwined in it, it was very pretty and took quite some time. The dress is a basic Hawaiian sundress, but is good quality and very pretty. If I remember correctly it cost right about $100 plus tip. I didn't think that was a bad deal considering what I pay to hit the spa!

If you want to PM your email address I can send you a couple of pictures. I can't for the life of me figure out how to attach a picture to a Private Message!

Bumping this up, anyone else have experiences to share on the keiki wahine experience? Thinking about it for my 5 year old next month...

We just did it this past April and my DD loved it:) she asked to do it again this Feb but I said no for one reason only- an hour later she was in the pool and all the work was ruined except her nails and the fact she came out of it in a new dress:) it cost us the same as BBB in the parks (with a dress, accessories). The best thing was the attention they gave DD though, it took about 1 1/2 hours and they pampered her! I don't regret it and like I said, my DD loved it, but I won't do it again unless she could appreciate it all day.

Thank you!! I enjoyed reading your entire trip blog. I jotted down a few notes!

I think if we book the Keiki Wahine we will do it late in the afternoon, post-pool, and on a night when we plan to do our big dinner out, like Ama Ama or the night we do Starlit Hui, as another poster suggested.

We did this right when Aulani first opened 9/2011 and really enjoyed the experience. The french gentlemen who did my Sophia's hair was so awesome! Because the resort had just opened, my middle daughter and I had the entire salon to ourselves and felt so pampered. We were given choices of what I felt were very nice dresses to complete her look. The one we selected was actually made in Hawaii which would have cost us quite a bit in a boutique.

We did not do this on the night of the Starlight Hui (wish I had thought of that) BUT we did arrange for a private session with one of the photopass photographers at sunset that night to take family pictures. At the time, there was no charge for the session, we simply bought some prints through the photopass website once we got home. We are going again in February and I am hoping they are still doing this.

I reserved this for my daughter in March. The cost with tax is $168.36. Apparently there is also a mermaid package for the same cost. An upgrade to a Tori Richard's outfit is $43 more.

How old is your daughter? Mine will be 3 and I'm unsure if she us too young to get much out of it!

My DD will be 4 1/2. She did BBB on the Disney Fantasy (which I'm assuming this experience is somewhat similar to) on her 4th birthday and she loved it!

We're planning a trip for this summer. I'm wondering if this is too young for our three DDs (9,9, and 11). They very much enjoyed Disney 360 (when it existed) last summer, but have outgrown BBB. Any thoughts?

My DD who will be 12 when we go in August wants to do this...too old for it?
