Aulani studio kitchenette? [Now with photos!]

While looking at the photos and video for the Auliani standard view room here on the DIS, we noticed the the room they photographed did not seem to have a kitchenette area. We took photos of the model at WDW this spring and it did include the kitchenette. Does anyone know if this is a change they made for all studios, or if this may just be some of the rooms?

In the room shown here on the DIS, it looks like there is a small stand next to the TV cabinet that might serve as a coffee area- but no microwave. The refrigerator is contained within the TV cabinet.

We expect to almost always stay in a studio at Aulani (if we can get in at the 7 month window, that is!), so the layout and amenities of the studio are very important to us.

you saw photos of a standard room not a standard studio. I've not seen studio photos yet.

Wow. Thanks for posting the pictures. It's very pretty but the kitchenette looks pretty small. What's with that tiny sink? It's not even the size of a bar sink. Looks like a bathroom basin. Could you even wash out the coffee pot in it?? It's a shame they couldn't devote another foot to that area and make it a usable size space. I loved the kitchenette areas at HHI, VWL and Vero. Those have a nice size countertop.

That sink is an absolute joke! As an old friend always said: must have been designed by a man.
(eta: there is one other studio at WDW that has a tiny studio sink (rectangle in shape, but very small)... anyone recall?)

Is the only vanity in the same room with the shower and toilet or is there a second vanity outside of that room?

Oh, I looked at the floor plan on the member site and it it looks like it is all in one area but the toilet does have it's own separate enclosed room, yes?

That looks like an electric kettle. Not sure if they're standard with the rooms - they haven't been anywhere else.
There is a toaster, it's just not shown (would be on the counter top above the mini fridge).

Maybe the electric pot is intended for those who prefer tea?? I think Disney is expecting significant Japanese interest in Aulani.

Good point. I wish they'd add these to the other DVCs too - Most people I know drink more tea than coffee. And I can't make a decent cup of tea in a microwave - it does something to the water.

First thing I noticed! I'm assuming that since there was a robe in the studio there SHOULD be bathrobes in the larger villas as well
