Just wondering if the spa at Aulani offers any daily specials? I love it when on our Disney cruises the spa would offer special discounts on particular days.

Here now, in fact just left the spa an hour ago. No specials that I have seen. DVC does not get a discount, BUT, you get an upgraded treatment for the same price. It's not much of an upgrade, but I will take it. We had family massages in the Ohana room on Monday (myself, husband, and 2 girls 15 and 11). Then today I had a facial, DH had a massage and our 2 girls had mini facials in the teen spa. The spa is beautiful and relaxing. I would highly recommend it.

Is it necessary to book spa before arriving? Also looking for mother/daughter spa treatments, are these offered? daughter is 13.

We booked once we got here. We did need to be a little flexible with times and days, but we booked early in our week so we could plan our other days' activities. I'm sure they could do a mother/ daughter treatment. We did the whole family in one room. They normally do not allow children in the spa, but with the parent they make an exception. However, we did our treatment, then left the spa area. We did not bring the kids into the facility to use the hydrotherapy, steam, etc. Instead, I used it before our treatment, and my husband used it after.

I did the spa last August absolutely amazing. After checking in I made my appointment. It wasn't crowded at all and well worth the price!

My son and I did the spa in February and LOVED it! A very special way to pamper yourself.

Awesome, thank you all for your input. Probably looking to treat ourselves while hubby goes golfing.

Then why do they offer kids services?

They have a separate teen spa next to the main spa. If you book a kid's treatment, they go to that spa. But, if you book a family treatment, it's in the main spa.

My DD8 had the biggest kid spa treatment done (mini pedicure, manicure and hair/makeup package ) and was done in the main salon/spa. This is also where we checked in (as directed in the confirmation email). I wonder if it depends on the treatment?

My DD is 8 also. I had seen mixed package info...one said the package as you described the other said pick 3 services. I am glad to know they go in the real spa. I did not want to drop her off at the teen spa; I was hoping it could be kind of mother-daughter. We did the one at vero last year and it was great! I was disappointed aulani didn't offer one like it.
