Hi everyone -

My son is surprising his gf with a trip to Hawaii next month (I know...last minute....) but I was wondering if a person can rent points to stay there.

When I look at the DVC points calculator, it doesn't list the resort. I've rented points before for WDW and would love to help make this surprise happen, if possible.

Thanks!

If they have availability :) yup go 2 rent trade board. And good luck. If nothing open then have some pretty good deals direct too :)

it's theoretically possible. renting a timeshare in the last couple of months is generally pretty tough due to availability issues (and payment issues - most members won't book the reservation until they have cash in hand as cancellation within 30 days would severely restrict their ability to use those pts).

but the point charts are linked in the top right hand corner of the screen.

Thanks, everyone! I appreciate your help :) my son finally decided on the Maui Seaside Hotel :( It was cheap, close to the airport and came in the package deal with car rental and air fare. I'm not sure he got such as great deal but he did the best he could on last min notice - paid $1600 for air fare for 2 from L.A., 8 nights hotel and 9 day car rental. Seems a little high considering the hotel isn't the greatest but he couldn't afford more than $100/night and had to quickly book the package before she came home from work.
