AULANI Resale Question

I understand Aulani resale buyer points have access to the original 14 resorts BUT my question is the Point Chart for 2024 where I've noticed the lower points for "HOTEL ROOMS" - which I happened to notice because I saw Aulani (or maybe just the Hotel Rooms) seems to have a different Cancellation Policy (4/5 days instead of the 31/30/1 of the other resorts).

First Question - Can Resale/White Card members book those low point Hotel Rooms or are they part of the "Disney Collection" which is withheld from Resale buyers? I just realized the DVC Point Chart and the one on the www.dvcresalemarket.com site differ - one not showing Hotel Room points - is that why?

Second Question - Does that 4/5 day Cancellation Policy apply only to the Hotel Rooms or to all DVC bookings at Aulani?

I can call Member Services, of course. But honestly, I've gotten conflicting answers there before and this could be a deal breaker for us purchasing Aulani resale so I'd want to know if someone has seen it clarified on documents?

Thanks!

P.S. Is it just me, or does the disclosure section under the Points Chart get scarier all the time lol. Pretty sure it is meant to spook Resale Buyers...

Resale owners can book those hotel rooms. There are very few of them - they were "given" to DVC AUL in exchange for some regular villas (or maybe a single Grand Villa, I can't remember) that Disney took for the hotel.

I have no knowledge of why those hotel rooms don't show up on the reseller's points chart, but I can guess it's because they're so very difficult to book.

Edited to add link re addition of hotel rooms to AUL inventory: https://dvcnews.com/resorts/aulani-...3-aulani-hotel-room-now-available-for-booking.

Does booking these hotel rooms come with room service? I imagine they don’t have the kitchenette and etc. like the DVC side does.

no kitchenette, just a small fridge and coffee maker.
And there is no room service anywhere at Aulani. At least, not as of the time of this post

Sorry I meant daily housekeeping. I assume not just because it's a DVC room but it is on the hotel side of booking so I wasn't sure?

No, they do not come with room service. They are DVC units, just configured exactly as a hotel room: larger bathtub in the bathroom as compared to the DVC studio, two queen beds instead of a queen and a sofa bed, and no kitchenette. There is a mini keurig, a microwave, and a mini fridge (smaller than a studio’s). Also nothing that’s usually included in a studio kitchenette such as paper towel, paper plates/bowls or plastic utensils.

Because it is a DVC unit and booked with points just as any other DVC villa, the 30+ day cancellation policy applies. Cancel within 30 days and points go into holding.
