We will be at aulani this summer and recently found out that friends of ours will also be in Hawaii but at a different resort,. Will they be able to visit us one day and use the pools or does aulani have wristbands or something like storm along bay. Thanks

No, pools are for guests only and each day you need to obtain a new colour coded wristband.

Aulani does use wristbands.
The only way you can make this happen is if you have the occupancy left to add them to your room reservation.
During our last stay over he summer, we had two 2 BDR villas that occupy 9 people each. We had 13 people in our group, so we were able to add my cousins family that live in HI to our reservation since we had 5 spots left.
