Aulani points credit?

We just got back from a stay in Aulani. Due to construction, DVC sent email that we would be refunded 2 nights worth of points for our trip. Has anyone else seen these go back into your account after your stay? Did it take time or did you have to call member services?

It was several months after making my reservation, I think. Got a letter from DVC that said would get 2 nights credit since "substantial construction" would be going on (didn't bother my trip at all.) I assumed lots of people got same email.

I was very pleased with how DVC handled the credit we received on our Aulani Stay.

We received two nights worth of points back from our 7-night stay at Aulani. Our trip was 9/15-22/2012 and in early August we received notification that we would get back 46 points. While at Aulani, I talked to the front desk CMs to see how the points would be put back in my account. The Aulani CMs didn't know and recommended I speak to Member Services. I spoke to MS and was told that the points would be credited into my account after our visit was complete. A few days after our return from Aulani, I noticed we had the 46 points back in our account. I was pleasantly surprised that MS is letting me use those points through my February 2013 UY, meaning they won't expire until 1/31/2014. Most of the points I originally used to book our Aulani reservation were 2011 UY points that were banked into my 2012 UY.

I actually received the two nights worth of points (92 points in my case) before my September Aulani trip. I called member services when I found out about the refund, and that the refunded points could be used immediately. I used them toward a January OKW reservation.

Of course I was warned at the time that any change/cancellation to the Aulani reservation would affect those refunded points.

When I looked at my account shortly after my November trip, I saw the points already credited. What I haven't figured out yet is when they're good till. Eep! Probably should look into that and make sure I don't lose them.

Okay, looks like those 48 points are credited to my Aug 2012 UY, and they are available to bank into my Aug 2013 up until Mar 31, 2013. Sweet!

DW and I celebrated our 30th anniversary at Aulani from 9/3-9/9/12 but it was a week before they started the construction. DD and DSiL are there on their honeymoon now (12/14-12/20/12) I did the online check-in for them when it was time at 10 days prior to the 1st night and we received the 2 night point credit a few days later and days BEFORE they actually checked in. We have 4 contract numbers XXXXX.0 (OKW), XXXXX.1 (BWV), XXXXX.2 (BCV) & XXXXX.3 (BWV) and DVC put the points in the OKW contract. I called Mbr Svcs and asked that they be put in the .1 BWV contract. No problem. They were moved within an hour. We have an Aug UY and the points were in our Aug2012 UY and they can be banked. I hope this helps.

I booked Aulani back in May for a Dec 2-8 trip. I was informed I would receive 2 nts of points back. The points came back to my account last week of November.

We have a March trip planned I wonder if they will still be doing this? It would be great since we are planning a January 2014 trip and need some extra points for that trip.
