Aulani Photopass

I've searched for this, and cannot find an answer....

Is the Photopass at Aulani in any way connected to your reservation? Or really, can anyone purchase it? We do have reservations at Aulani in May.... We are actually staying at the Marriott Vacation Club property a couple lagoons away. But we had some DVC points left, so we booked a studio room on two days, Monday and Wednesday, so we could could experience Aulani's amenities for four days. (We'd still sleep and cook at the Marriott) I'm considering purchasing the Photopass at Aulani so that we don't have to carry a camera around, but want to make sure that our split reservation won't matter.

It is not tied to your reservation. You get a PP card and when you are done with your trip, you go to the gift shop to purchase the PP. If you have any photos taken with the Go Pros at the pools or during any activities (where the card is not scanned), those need to be added at the gift shop. You will want to keep track of dates/activity times or pool location if you take any of these.
Not sure if they request wristbands when taking PP pictures, but that would be the only issue on a non Aulani day.

How much time should we leave to purchase the photopass? We would wait until our last morning, a Saturday (Oct 10), and want to do it as sort of the "last thing" as we would go to the pool in the morning.

Is this an hour-long process? 30 minutes? Just a few minutes if you know when/where you were at the pools?

THANKS! I wish Aulani had a PP pre-purchase plan like Disneyland ... that's probably some of the best money we spend each DL trip!!!

It can certainly take an hour...especially if the staff need to search for photos taken at the pools or activities. Also, a lot of people depart on Saturday, so they have the same idea that you do. There is usually only one CM that handles this in the gift shop.
