Aulani - pay for extra housekeeping?

I've booked standard hotel room with DVC points through David's. I see so much information on daily housekeeping charges if you so choose to add it.

in general, if we do choose to add "trash & towel" service, does that include the turndown service? Or, is it simply one & done each day take out trash, replace towels? Does it include bed make-up, etc.?

We don't care about our view, but we would definitely add whatever housekeeping daily charges to make sure we have a clean room each night

Anyone know how much it is per day in the hotel room category? I assume it would be around the same as a studio, but I can't seem to get an answer when I call the hotel directly, so I'll reach out to all of you

Did you book your reservation through DVC member services? Are you renting points from a DVC member? Or did you book the room, with cash, directly from Disney/Central Reservations?

If you booked a room as a DVC member or through a DVC member, then you will not get daily house keeping. Just trash-and-towel service on after the 3rd night of your reservation.

If you booked the room paying cash directly through Disney/Central Reservations/a travel agent/Aulani's website/etc. then you are a cash guest and will get full service housekeeping each day.

Trash & Towel service: Exactly as it sounds. They take out the trash, and replace the towels/soaps/bathroom supplies. They will not make the beds, clean anything, etc.

Full Service Cleaning: This is your typical hotel cleaning where the beds are made. This does not normally include turn-down service.

The OP stated they are renting DVC points through David's, so they will not get daily housekeeping.
You will not get nightly turndown with trash and towel service.
You may want to contact David's for the cleaning/trash-towel fees. I do not recall them offhand. We did not opt for it during our last stay on points.

I'd have to believe that the cost is the same as for studios since they are both the same size room with more or less equivalent amenities. The Aulani website only references studios on up which is why I believe it's the same. So I'd expect $15/day for trash and towel service and $30/day for full clean.

Trash and towel is simply that. Take out trash and leave fresh towels. Even full cleaning does not mean turn down service.

Here are the descriptions:

"With Trash & Towel service, Housekeeping will:

• Empty trash and replace liners in trash bins.
• Provide fresh bathroom linens.
• Replace bath amenities as needed.
• Replenish facial tissues, paper towels and toilet paper.
• Replenish coffee, sugar, cream and sweeteners."

"With Full-Cleaning service, Housekeeping will provide everything included with the Trash & Towel Service, plus:

• Change the bed linens.
• Vacuum and dust the vacation villa.
• Clean the bathroom(s).
• Clean the kitchen/kitchenette and wash the dishes."
