Aulani Owners Thread - ALOHA!

I’m just remembering those 2:58am alarms to call to reserve the seats… it was awful, but at least I got most of what I wanted….

Who exactly does this call every day change help? Not the DVC guest….

Calling everyday is like how they do the other experiences that are very popular and book quick. I think it’s because if you have to call everyday it gives more people a chance to book. I really believe the time change plus calling daily will make getting a reservation 75% less likely than previously. I’m not happy about it at all.

I just keep thinking that this is Disney making life a bit easier for the casual/short visitor while making it more annoying for the more dedicated long stay visitor (and likely DVC owner). Although I’m a DVC (AUL!) owner, I generally don’t stay more than 5 days so it works out for me, but I still don’t love the general trend.

I guess we’ll find out soon it reserved seating gets much harder to book. We don’t have our 2026 trip in the books yet— hoping one of you guys will report back soon.

Agreed. It’s like the DVC owner doesn’t have a voice in the room…

Has anyone been to Aulani this time of year? I have seen several posts elsewhere saying that this week it has been not crowded at all. Even the casabellas aren't all booked up. I was about to book for August again but Im willing to wait an extra month if it means a more pleasant experience.

If not tied to a school calendar then I would go in September.

If I could go back in time, I think I would have gotten a Feb UY since the point chart is so cheap in Feb, the flights are cheap with kids in school, and the weather in Oregon has us starting to hit a Vitamin D deficient breaking point. It wouldn’t matter how, but it would work better when the kids were in school.

I started off with a March UY because of Spring Break, Summer, and Fall trips and that month has a lot of inventory so I could buy a big contract at a sweet price point…. Oh, well… 950 Aulani March UY points in so I am not starting over….

Feb seems like a great time when you live somewhere it snows.
You will also take crazy flight times and will do connections….
For us it's still a nonstop flight. The coming home flight is always a red eye from Hawaii though no matter the time of year. The going is not.

We are currently here. Weather is perfect.

I can’t compare crowds as we only aver have been in fall (September and October). It did seem as if one Casabella at the adult pool was empty on Sunday, but I haven’t really looked for them. I can keep an eye out the next days.

Points are low this time of year as well, another bonus.

So nice to hear the weather is good. Someone said many of the deck casabellas were all empty, those are over in front of Ama Ama. How is the pool chair situation right now?

We went down at 11:30 am and found two loungers at adult pool next to each other. There are plenty of single empty loungers all over the pool area. Sunday was much busier.

One thing to note: pool hours are 8 am to 8 pm. Lazy river and slides close at 6 pm. I think in the summer the pool is open later.

This is my first trip with the adult pool being an adult pool (2019 was a pool renovation during our stay and it was made accessible for everyone, 2022 was still Covid mode, so it was also open to everyone). And it’s such a peaceful area. We absolutely adore it.

The pool hours might be the only negative I can think of. For sure something to think about. I am going to try and track down when the pool hours end up changing.
