I've been loosely tracking characters at Aulani so I have an idea how 'important' it is for my youngest to see ShellieMay at the first available opportunity on our trip For the first time since I've been checking, the app says no characters today!!! View attachment 957754

When we went I saw that multiple times and there was still characters

Don't know why this was on the app earllier, but there are characters listed now. Yeah!!!

Going to Aulani in September. Does anyone have a photo of what the freestyle drink machines have?

You've got to love DVC... Even though there will likely only be three of us, we got a 2-bed ocean view so our adult daughter can have a real bed and we can have a second bathroom.

There is no way we would do that paying cash!

I am just curious, can you tell me if one of the options is Diet Dr. Pepper? We will be there in 3 weeks and I would love to hear that it is an option.

Can everyone please light up Disney in the surveys that non-guests get the same dining booking window as guests.

Clarification: IMO On Property Guests with a linked reservation should have an exclusive dining booking window.

Just to be clear...
You do want non-guests to get the same booking window as guests? Or you want guests to have priority (over non-guests)?

I assume you mean the latter. Because non-guests should definitely not have the same booking window as guests. I'm actually surprised it isn't this way already. You would think Disney would want to incentivize people to stay in the bubble however they can, big or small. Giving guests a priority booking window would be an easy small-ish incentive to add.

I believe that guests staying on property should have an exclusive window to book dining before non-guests.

At least we get the perk of booking length of stay at 60 days before checkin, instead of day by day. However, I agree that I’d rather our booking window opened at 70 or 75 or even 90 days, with offsite guests booking day by day 60 days from desired ADR.

At Aulani it’s only 30 days in advance and does not appear to be length of stay….

Oops, forgot which thread I was reading! Sorry. So first I’d ask for them to add length of stay booking like at WDW, and then to start it earlier for Aulani guests than for offsite guests.

So my mom saw us going to WDW and got FOMO and now decided yes she wants to join us at Aulani in August. We are currently booked in a 2 bedroom, so she would be on the couch pull out. The GV is an insane F ton points but I want to book it. Right now it's not available. Those who stalk what are my chance of it opening up 08/12-08/17?

Summer is tough…. and those dates are still in the out of school range for many on the West coast.

I also noticed today that there is zero availability that week for anything. Last year I started look for that same week in May/June and there were alot of options..

Haven't stalked that GV but have always been successful in booking it at the 7-month window. I'd guess that if it is booked solid now for your dates that its unlikely to come available. Still, why do you go ahead and waitlist it anyway.

For now Im going to just stalk. I want to see everyone else's flights booked before I WL the GV since Id have to give up my 2 bed in order to be able to afford the points to book it.
