Aulani Opening Date Guessing Game

Ok......now that we have the Aulani Points charts for 2011 and the fact that sales presentations look like they'll start next month..........

Anyone want to have some fun and start speculating on the real opening date of the resort? I know it was originally listed as Fall 2011, but that's a pretty big window for them to hit.

Well, yay! I just told hubby last night as we looked over the points chart that I thought the soft opening would be the beginning of August, with reservations advertised for the end of August. I hope that really turns out to be the case! We're hoping to snag a reservation for Choice season early that December.

What's a soft opening? When the staff stays and checks it out? Did BLT have a soft opening? I thought it opened for guests on 8/4/09 with the original estimate as being in early October.

I think points go on sale July 1st.

DVCNews has a proposed chart posted. It was posted on Disneys site, but has since been pulled, so changes maybe in the works.

I have a call into my guide, but he hasn't returned my call just yet to confirm. I'd like to be one of the first 800 purchasers (founders).

Me too! Every time we go to Disneyland and walk through the entrance plaza I regret not buying a tile with our name on it. They say founders will get their name on a Pohaku. Not sure what it is, I'll have to Google it. But would love to get our name on site. I've emailed my guide as well re: $114 price, but no word back yet.
