Scheduled for a nov 13-19 trip. Wondering if it's best to wait until next year when the entire resort is up and running.

Any info or suggestions?

Thanks
Chris

Go now and give us a trip report. :thumbsup2

That way you can plan a second trip for when it's finished to compare. :woohoo:

Great answer, now if I can only figure out "reasonable" car rental rates for Hawaii.

Chris

Got great price on 2 from newark. Because it's 11/13-11/19, fare was not as bad as I thought it might be.

I would wait, Disney tends to open the resort before everything is completed. We have found that being the first gives us great bragging rites, but it takes a while for the resort to get up to speed and not all services will be in place. Landscaping will still be going in, CM's are being trained, and there is a lot of confusion. We found this to be true at SSR, AKV, and BLT.

Too early to get car rental deals. Most coupons are valid for 3-6 months. Closer to end of Sep-Oct would be a good time to book a car rental. Also you could bid on Priceline during that time.

We are headed to Aulani during end of Dec and right now I haven't found any reasonable deals on cars.

I understand your hesitation. We struggeled with the same decision, but eventually we decided to go in mid-September.

We'll let you all know how it goes.

We are excited to go in November when only 1/2 or less of the resort will be finished and therefore occupied. I think it will be pretty huge and pretty crowded when it's all done....

I got an amazing car rental rate on Hotwire! Less than $18/day!

Is that half of the resort or DVC or both?

We going to check it out in January. As far as car rental rates, try Costco rates if you're a member with Alamo or Budget.

Thank you very much!

I got a great rate from Costco for end Dec 2011-Jan 2012 vacation. Its $225 all in (inclusive of taxes) for 10 days for a FULLSIZE and that includes the NYE!:cool1:
