Please could someone recommend which Shrimp Truck to try on the way to North Shore?

Preferably where shrimp eyes aren't staring back at me? (love shrimp but not heads).

Thanks so much.

I tend to like Romy's. I mentor a young lady who lives in Kahuku and we often meet there for lunch. Regarding the heads being left on, I can't remember. It's not something I worry about, so I tend not to notice.

My vote for romys shrimp truck also. It is a little past the kahuku sugar mill. On the ocean side of the highway.

Thank you all so much for your shrimp truck answers. Appreciate it.

I think you'll find people's favorites fall into two camps: Romy's or Giovanni's.

We're a Giovanni's family, but my sister's family is all about Romy's.

Sounds like my family! Thanks. It looks like we can't go wrong with either.

Giovanni's is the standard all others try to imitate.

We had coconut shrimp from Mackys.

I love Macky's! I was going to post here until I saw on Yelp that they appear to be closed.

We go there every trip so I'm really sad. But I guess that means we'll finally branch out! We did try Romy's for dinner once, was literally their last customer of the day, and the shrimp was mushy. :( But with all the good reviews here, maybe we'll give them another chance and just go earlier in the day.

We went last June. It was really good. Got my husband and daughter to actually try something.
