We got home yesterday but between getting the dogs, food shopping, catching up on work (and sleep) this is the first time I've had to update this post.

It was a beautiful morning the day we left and we hung out at the resort until it was time to leave for the airport. Pete and I toured the Grand Villa while others sat and enjoyed the ocean breezes that come through the open lobby of the resort.

The GV was incredible. Pete took lots of pictures. Below is one I took of the view from the balcony. There will be over 20 Grand Villas at this resort and they are all at the end of the two towers. There balconies run the length of the building and have an incredible view.

On our way to the airport Pete's Mom said she wanted a 'good hamburger' for lunch so we played with the GPS and Google and found The Big City Diner. Wow!! What a surprise. Too bad we didn't come across this earlier. It's so close to Aulani, good food and reasonably priced. We will be back.

The flight home was relatively uneventful - just long.

Hopefully we will be back to Aulani sometime next year.

Just found this thread...awesome pics...what an amazing place!!! Hope Kevin's back continues to improve! It was nice " seeing" Kevin in chat Wed.....unexpected surprise! Can't wait to hear all about the trip. ... And maybe more about your upcoming trip at Christmas I am assuming you are both going"!!! Thanks for posting updates guys!!!
