I've never gotten a Disney rash....what the heck is that?!

I'm only on page 4 of your thread. Trying to get caught up now that I'm home....

Balcony- All ours. Every room had an ocean front view.

Disney rash- Not exactly sure, but whatever I get seems to fire up with humidity and outdoor activity or chlorine.

What are the bands for?



Right?! Such a strange "contribution" to this thread.



I need to find out if they have one for Wilderness Lodge because I didn't see one during our visit. We do have the Grand Cal one though. We actually put it on our tree but leaving it out year round would be nice too!

Fun fact. Last year was my first time there and I totally forgot I had read about the bands. I noticed others with bands very late on the afternoon of the second day. Nobody said anything to us. It was October, so not peak season at least.

I’m sure that happens to a lot of people. A lot of the time my bands were covered by a sun or swim shirt….

I had to do the walk of shame at Aulani (i.e. go down to the gift shop to buy a new suitcase)

My mom did this at our last Beach Club stay. Now she has a nice hard sided Mickey and Minnie suitcase, to go along with the WDW cookbook and cooking accessories she purchased. lol.

I hate having to buy a suitcase on vacation so I make sure to bring extra suitcases with disposable things like toilet paper in them. We are not 1 ply people.

A hard suitcase from Disney is a good way to go based on the options in the store. Easy to find on a luggage carousel.

I love the “look” of their new luggage line that has leather wrappings on all of the edges…. which is why I purchased one from Grand Cal….but they got shredded the first time I checked a bag…. it is now a designated driving only bag….

We have dialed down on merch in recent years…. but my wife has warmed up to some Aulani pride and that facilitated a larger haul this trip. I suppose my new robe from the spa didn’t help either!

Next trip in August, I am taking a whole suitcase full of stuff that will be left in my new owners locker. It is already ear-marked for filling back up with merch for the way home! Can’t wait!

I love that I have not seen Aulani anywhere but Aulani, not at the discount Disney stores either or on shopDisney. So to own it you must've been there (unless you buy on eBay.. no bueno for me)
