So I've really not followed Aulani availability at all in the past. We are looking to go 6/8 to 6/15 or thereabouts. It looks like availability for dates currently 7 months out (in May and early June) are open in studios except for a few days in standard view. There is a great deal on tickets right no and I'd like to book ASAP but am nervous that a room won't be available. Based on what I'm seeing now, though, a studio should be available at the 7 month mark, right?

Nothing's guaranteed, but I just went to MS and checked the dates you're traveling. They currently have studios and one-bedrooms available in all views except standard view for that week. You only have a couple more days to wait until you can book. If you do decide to book on Nov. 8th, I would recommend that you book online(if possible) right at 8:00am EST.

When I flew to Oahu last year, tickets were about $1200 from VA. If you're finding something significantly less than that, you will have to weigh what the change fee would cost you for the flight if you aren't able to use the ticket. Good luck!

Oops. I meant during the summer. It's a shame when you travel so much you start forgetting where and when you went!

I do plan to book online at 8 am on the 8th. I may even "walk" the reservation but it doesn't sound like that will be necessary (hopefully!) We got flights from LA for $410 and will use our Southwest miles to get ut to LA so that part is free! Flights otherwise were running in the $900-1000 range. We plan on making our way over to Disneyland on the way out since we've never been. Thanks for the help!

I went at the exact same time this past year. I had difficulty getting the first day I wanted and for the time frame I wanted. I ended up calling first thing the next day and was able to book my trip. We did 2 studios, Island View. There were no standard view studios left. Since the new wing will be open you should have more availability. But definitely call as soon as MS opens on your 7 month window. Also, if ticket prices are that good go ahead and book. You could always stay in Waikiki for a night or two before going to Aulani. That is what we did. We planned a week on Oahu and the first 2 nights couldn't get into Aulani so stayed down in Waikiki. Definitely a different experience but when I was at Aulani I didn't feel the need to go back to Waikiki and just spend time at Aulani.

Have fun, it is a fantastic resort.
