Aulani Event at Contemporary Ballroom

We are going to this on Friday at 3pm and I was wondering if anyone else was planning to attend one these events?

Maybe we will see some Dis people there!

I would, some dates to pick from were already full when we rsvp'ed but I'm sure some are still open! There is suppose to be a dance party with mickey and minnie and refreshments!

Did the event last year for BLT...it was worth the time and effort to go over. It was busy, but there were characters and ice cream!

We did both last month at DL and hated the D23 thing--there wasn't any sort of presentation or opportunity to learn about Aulani other than a model in the lobby of the DL hotel, just some refreshments (chicken wings, fruit) and a DJ. Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, and Donald were there for pictures. We left after 15 minutes or so since we aren't big dancers to begin with, were full from dinner, and took pictures with all the characters.

The following day we attened a DVC presentation and it was SO much better. There's a "tour guide" (very similar to Guano Joe in Flights of Wonder) to get you laughing, "Auntie" who comes out and sings a few songs, and Hula dancers to get you in the mood, all weaved through the presentation.

Curious to see what incentives were offered at the Contemporary...I went to the DLR event and the incentives were $2 off on top of the 6/8/10 off offered through the emails...TIA!

Today (7/25) is the last day of the DVC Events on Aulani being held at the Contemporary.

Will someone report back on the incentives offered? Just curious to see if they're the same as at DLR.

Our guide told us in very confusing terms about the current incentives and then told us in even more confusing terms what our incentives were since we attended the DLR event (versus people who did not attend any events). My understanding was that all incentives for Aulani are the same at this time (unless you went to a cruise presentation). TIA!

We went last Thursday at 7 p.m. they were only offering a 9a.m and 7p.m. so we took the later slot we signed up that morning. There was alot of people but it was a great time for everyone kids included. Mickey and Minnie came too. I have the incentives written down but we just returned so I have to find them. Current price is $114/pp Annual dues are less then BLT.

I'm a little confused...how can 2009 use year points be thrown in for Aulani, when points don't start until 2011? I understand that this is usual for the resorts which are already built..but are they doing this for Aulani as well?
