A question for anyone that has stayed in the DVC hotel rooms. Where are they located and are there other DVC rooms nearby? My sister and I are taking our parents to Aulani in November. We have enough points for a one bedroom, but not a two bedroom. We were looking at the floor plans and realized that there is only one bath in the one bedroom. So we started talking about getting a studio for our parents and a hotel room for myself and sister. (Basically the same # of points) This way we each get our own bed and an extra bathroom, and our elderly parents can have their own space. But we are hoping we won't be on opposite sides of the resort. Anyone have insight you can share?

Can't help with the location but a couple of things about the 1BR bathrooms is that there is a door separating the master from 1/2 of the bathroom. The toilet can be accessed from the living area or the master and that is also the section with the shower. And, each area has it's own sink.

The DVC hotel rooms are located on the Waianae side of Aulani. In the map below, the DVC hotel rooms are in wings in the lower right side that are numbered 20-29 and 30-47. DVC has a total of 8 hotel rooms and they will be facing the Guest Parking and are considered to be 'Standard' view. The rooms will be on one of the lower floors, probably no higher than 5th or 6th floor.

There are DVC villas located on the Waianae side of Aulani as well and are in the wing labeled 01-13 on the map below. Its possible that your family could have a one-bedroom and a DVC hotel room that end up being on the same floor and not too far from one another. Much depends on what type of one-bedroom you book. The Pool View villas are on floors 1-5, the Island View villas are on floors 1-7, and the Ocean View villas are on floors 6-16. You should look at the Aulani Villas & Views thread for more details about Aulani's layout.

Now for the not so good news: The majority of DVC villas are on the Ewa side of the resort. They are in the wings labeled on the map as 50-59, 60-69, and 70-89. Its about a 5-minute walk and elevator ride to get from the Waianae side to the Ewa side.

If you book a hotel room and a one-bedroom, be sure to tell Member Services that you are "Traveling With" the other party. That way, if possible, MS will try to put your two rooms close together.

Good luck!
