Aulani Cabanas

When I called the number online listed for the character breakfast they helped me book my cabana no problem. I called around 11am pacific time.

Whew! Y'all were right. I called the 808 number got the reservation for the day I wanted. I've already received the email confirmation and no reservation number needed. Thank you!

The Target in Kapolei has groceries.

That is where we got everything we needed on our trip last June. They were actually expending the grocery selection when we were there. There is an ABC store directly across the street from the resort that carries a fair amount of food items if you are in need of anything after shopping.

I'm not sure why I'm having so much trouble with this. I decided to call back today and a woman answers this time. I tell her I am calling to see about booking a pool cabana. First thing out of her mouth is...can I have your reservation number? Well I don't have it on me so I say...will my dvc number help? Oh she says your a member staying on points...then you need to call member services. Can someone please give me the number they are calling so I can stop feeling like an idiot? Thanks in advance.

I called DVC Member Services and reserved a cabana for two days for our April trip. Took just 10 minutes and I was told that the charge would be taken when we were at the resort. Easy Peasy.

You reserved it through DVC MS and not the resort?! :confused3 I think that's a first...everybody else has been calling the resort. Hummmm. I'm still going to wait to see how the construction issues are before we decide whether or not to keep ours. Hopefully by August they will be minimal. But if it's still in full swing I don't think we'll want to pay $250 to listen to jackhammers & pounding all day right behind me.

Agreed..we have ours booked for day 4. If we get there and its awful we will cancel on our first day. We leave in 7 weeks:-)

We were there for seven days and found no need for a cabana. Not a single problem getting chairs and if we needed a snack or tv break, easy trip back to the room. Save the money!

Yup, reserved through MS. I didn't even know or think about calling the resort. I didn't get a confirmation number, so now I'm a bit nervous.

Even with the construction, I'm going to keep the cabana. We have a 6 month old baby & a 4 year old and really need the shade and space for naps.

I just got one for a couple of days bcuz our DS (will be 16) gets antsy when we try to spend a whole entire day relaxing by the pool or whatever. I figured this way he could chill in the shade under the ceiling fan with the TV or his iPad if he wants while we do our thing and yet we can still be together as a family some. Otherwise he would just whine about being bored all day and want to know when we would be "done". Kinda like the perpetual "are we there yet". I have not read about an overwhelming response to good teenager activities at Aulani. I know they have a teen spa or something but am not sure that would be his choice of things to do.:rolleyes1

Exactly the reason I gave DS13 the option to go on this trip. I don't see much there that he would enjoy.

Did we already discover we would be there at the same time? We check in on the 12th of April.

Yes!! We land on the night of the 12th (from Seattle) but are staying in Waikiki that night. Check in on the 13th and check out the 17th but then head to the north shore (beach house on Waimea Bay) till the 21st:-)

Anyone else going to be there during that time? Drinks at Off the Hook or our cabana (if we keep it lol)??

Oops, just sent you a PM asking for your dates, see them now. :)

Totally down for drinks, wherever.

When I called MS they told me to go online to Aulani.com and reserve there. There was no where to do that so I called and they told me to call the resort. At the resort I was transferred a couple of times even to the spa until I finally got someone. You would think you could do this online for simplicity!

I got a confirmation email about an hour after booking through the hotel.

I just got off the phone with MS & got my confirmation numbers for our cabana rentals I must have forgotten to write them down before.

So,Yes, you can make Aulani Cabana rentals through MS.

I know this is an old thread but I used it to call for my cabana, so I thought I would update.

I just called 808-674-6200 for 5/31/15. She was unsure if it would go through this early, but it did. No credit card or resort confirmation number was required. I was given a confirmation number and immediately when we hung up, my phone buzzed with the confirmation which was odd since I don't get email updates. She did ask my cell phone carrier (which even she thought was an odd question, but the computer wanted it). I also got an email confirmation right away. The whole process was less than 5 minutes and she did remark that it was early to call, but never too early for a summer stay!

The sooner you book them, the better. You will get a say in where your cabana is. When I booked our two cabana days for July in April, I was told I had booked the last one on the Ka Maka Landing. When we arrived last week, Our first cabana day was in #1...by the Menehune bridge. I didn't make a big fuss because DD really enjoyed playing in that area. The cabana was great. When they called about our second cabana day, they told me it would be #3 on the landing. When we arrived, there was someone else's last name on the sign, and our name was again by the Menehune Bridge. My SIL complained...they even had us in #3 in their computer at Rainbow Reef. They ended up comping the cabana for us that day.
Just keep in mind that when you book them...regardless of where they tell you they are...you could end up elsewhere.

Good to know.... and how annoying! I bet that other family pitched a fit about being by the bridge.

I actually requested the bridge area since mine will be 3 and 4 when we go. I am going to book a second day later in the trip and debating if I want the bridge again or near the pool. My current 3 year old can swim totally independently now, but he is closing in on 4. My daughter will be 3 years 4 months and since we are going at the start of summer.... I don't think she will be totally independent yet. She can back float and swim about 5 feet easily now, but can't take a breath consistently yet. Obviously, I watch both of them like a hawk, but I can breathe easier with my 3 year old. So.... all that to say, I am not sure the cabana by the pool will be super relaxing, especially if my daughter is still really dangerous in the water.
