Aulani at 7 months?

I am just starting to plan a trip to Aulani September 1-5, 2024. How hard is it to get a hotel room or standard studio at 7 months? This will be Sun - Thurs the week of Labor Day. I am wanting to use as little points as possible and am prepared to have to book higher if necessary and waitlist the lower point value rooms.

@carseatguru Can't tell you at 7 months but I can say that I've had issues with either one being available at 11 months when we've traveled. I would lean toward an island studio as the most probable.

You are unlikely to get either. There are only 39 Standard Studios, and 8 hotel rooms on points. They are sometimes available for a day a 7 months, but rarely for consecutive days.

You may be able to get Island Gardens or Poolside, but will need to be booking promptly tot have a chance.

You are incredibly unlikely to get a hotel room or any of the standard view rooms without the home booking advantage, especially since you will be traveling on a holiday weekend and right when the points charts decrease. The hotel rooms are very difficult to get at a peak time, even for owners.

Studio with island garden view is only 2 more points per night as compared to studio with standard view, for that timeframe.

When we booked at 7 months for Easter break week (a week or two into the 7mo window) all that was available was 1BR OV. It was glorious but it was a ton of points.

It’s not likely that you’ll be able to book a hotel or standard studio at 7 months. I suspect only the OV studio to be available.

As long as you are prepare to spend on the higher points studio rooms, you will get something. Just don’t have plan for those extra points that will probably be required yet, and you won‘t be disappointed. Just be pleasantly surprised if you happen to be able to book the standard room studio. As others mentioned, I just wouldn‘t count on it.

Very difficult. Like others mentioned, the island garden views and partial ocean views are the easiest to get.

Holidays, both state and federal are usually booked.
