Aulani 7 month window for Golden Week

I've read a ton of threads about 7 month availibility at Aulani and was feeling pretty confident. We are happy to take any studio or any one bed from May 3rd to May 7th. Then during my research I read this is slap bang in the middle of Japan's golden week
Does anyone have any experience booking these dates? Worried now that we won't get anything.

I think its still too early to generalize about which parts of Aulani's calendar books up first, but I don't think Golden Week is that difficult to book. . . especially if you can book as soon as when the 7-month window opens.

Two factors that might work in your favor in trying to secure a reservation during Golden Week: Golden Week is part of Aulani's most expensive season, the Premier Season, which probably scares away guests who are trying to stretch their points. A 7-night Ocean View Studio during Golden Week is 217 points, but it drops to only 182 points the week after Golden Week. Another factor is that Golden Week is not a great time for families to travel to Hawaii. School is still in session and most Spring Breaks are over.
